Sunday’s screening will start at 6 p.m. Based on the life of Marie Colvin, “A Private War” is brought to the screen by Academy Award-nominated filmmaker Matthew Heineman in his narrative feature debut. Celebrated war correspondent Marie Colvin, played by Rosamund Pike is driven to the frontlines of conflicts across the globe to give voice to the voiceless, while constantly testing the limits between bravery and bravado. Her mission to show the true cost of war leads her — along with renowned war photographer Paul Conroy, portrayed by Jamie Dorman — to embark on the most dangerous assignment of their lives. Peter Rabbit and his three sisters — Flopsy, Mopsy and Cotton-Tail — enjoy spending their days in Mr. McGregor’s vegetable garden. When one of McGregor’s relatives suddenly moves in, he’s less than thrilled to discover a family of rabbits in his new home. The film is based on the books by Beatrix Potter. Beginning Fly Tying Class High Country Fly Fishers will host a beginning fly tying class from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Jan. 5, at Redrock Brewery, 1640 Redstone Center Drive. The class is designed for those who have cast a fly or two and now want to try making their own creations. It will be taught by several club members who are experienced fly tiers.
