Show A4 The Emery County Review, Tuesday, September 9, 2008 Class of 1946 Reunion The 1946 graduating class of North Emery High School gathered for their class reunion on Sept. 6 at Bear Creek Campgrounds in Huntington Canyon. The Class of 1946 have met every other year for a reunion since their graduation. There were 22 students in the graduating class of 1946. Those who attended the reunion with their loved ones include: Rex and Alice Wison, Val and Darlene Young, James and Shirley Mangum, Bonnie Johansen, Roy and Zona Jensen, Earl and Karla Gunderson, Phillis Poloni, Don Allred, Jean and Jerry Huntsman, Dean Young, Jack and Hazel Allred, Izabelle Oveson, Emma and Ken Prince, Geraldine and Ralph Walters, Hazel McMullin, Mar and Bonnie Grange and John Oliver (not pictured). COURT REPORTER Appearing in Seventh District Court Sept. 3 before Judge George M. Harmond was: Curtis Dovel Diego. Diego appeared before the court in regard to a guilty plea he had submitted to a felony charge of Illegal Possession / Use of a Controlled Substance in May of 2006. In post sentencing proceedings he was sentenced to a suspended prison term. His probation was revoked and he was ordered to pay restitution of $1,014.48 and to serve six months in jail. Rachel Karen Sutton. Sutton pled guilty in October of 2007 to a felony county of •Full Line Auto Repair •24 Hr. Lockout Service •Roadside Service Forgery. In post sentencing proceedings she was ordered to serve a suspended prison term. She was ordered to serve the original sentence imposed in the original commitment order. Deeanna Lynn Wilson. Wilson pled guilty in July a an amended felony county of Theft. In sentencing proceedings she was sentenced to a suspended prison term, ordered to pay restitution, ordered to serve 120 days in jail, fined and placed on 36 months probation. Bret V. Potter. Potter is charged with Allow Vicious Animal to Go at Large, a Class B Misdemeanor. A jury trial is scheduled for Sept. 29. Deonica Virshawn Johnson. Huntington, UT Wane & Orson Justice/Owners of extradition in open court. Jessica Visser. Visser is charged with Exploitation of Disabled or Elder Adult, a second degree felony. She pled guilty to the charge in a plea in abeyance agreement. Conditions of the plea in abeyance requires her to undergo a mental health evaluation and pay restitution. Fred Thomas Lujan. Lujan faces two first degree felony counts of Child Kidnapping and two first degree felony counts of Aggravated Sex Abuse of a Child. The court ordered that the order for mental examination of the defendant be sent to human services and that the hearing be rescheduled for Oct. 7. Lujan is also charged with two first degree felony counts of Distribute/Offer/Arrange to Distribute a Controlled Substance and a misdemeanor charge of Use or Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. The court ordered the hearing in these matters also rescheduled for Oct. 7. Teri M. Markosek. Markosek pled guilty in May to a felony count of Uttering Forged or Altered Prescription and a misdemeanor charge of Attempted Uttering of Forged or Altered Prescription. In a review hearing the court was advised that Markosek had been accepted into drug court in Carbon County. Deputy Prosecutor William Langston was to prepare a change of venue to Carbon County so that Markosek can start with the drug court program. Chance Nicholas Hardy. Hardy pled guilty in July to a felony count of Unlawful Sexual Activity with a Minor. In sentencing proceedings Hardy was sentenced to a suspended prison term, ordered to serve 180 days in jail, fined $1,000, placed on 36 months probation, ordered to undergo a psychosexual evaluation and ordered to have no contact with females under the age of 16. Jose Domingo AguilarCastro. Aguilar-Castro pled guilty in August to a felony count of Possess Forgery Writing/Device and a misdemeanor count of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol or Drugs. The court indicated that it would review the case on Sept. 16 to see if immigration has picked up the defendant. Chantel Brown. Brown pled guilty in September 2007 to a misdemeanor count of Attempted Unemployment Compensation – False Statement. In a review hearing the court was advised that Brown has paid approximately $2,813 to Workforce Services in restitution. An order was to be prepared for Brown to appear in court on Oct. 7. Dustin Steven Byerly. Byerly appeared in order to show cause proceedings regarding guilty pleas in 2005 to Attempted Domestic Violence in the Presence of a Child and Attempted Aggravated Assault, both Class A Misdemeanors. Adamson faces a felony county of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol or Drugs and misdemeanor counts of Driving on a Denied License, Open Container/Drinking Alcohol in a Vehicle, and Improper Usage of Lanes. Adamson’s attorney, Dustin Heugly, made a motion for a continuance and it was granted. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Oct. 7. Michael David Sadler. Sadler faces a felony county of Purchase/Possess a Dangerous Weapon. In his initial appearance he was advised of the charges and penalties and he requested a preliminary hearing. He was appointed David Allred to represent him and the preliminary hearing was scheduled for Sept. 16. Fred Ortiz. Ortiz faces a felony county of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol/Drugs and misdemeanor counts of Operating Vehicle with Alcohol in Body, Operating a Vehicle .without License or Registration and Tail Light Violation. Ortiz was advised of the charges and penalties and he requested a preliminary hearing. He was appointed David Allred to represent him and a preliminary hearing is scheduled for Oct. 7. Sentencing is scheduled for Oct. 7. Warren Michael Jurgensen. Jurgensen faces third degree felony charges of Illegal Possession/Use of a Controlled Substance and Unlawful Personal Possession/Purchase/Transport of a Handgun and misdemeanor charges of Use or Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Open Container/Drinking Alcohol in a Vehicle. He pled not guilty to all charges. A suppression hearing is scheduled for Sept. 24. Jolynn Miles. Miles pled guilty on Sept. 3 to misdemeanor charges of Falsify/Alter Government Records and Written False Statements. The defendant waived time for sentencing and was sentenced to a suspended jail term, fined $750 and placed on 12 months probation. Michael George Rowley. Rowley pled guilty in March to an amended misdemeanor charge of Sexual Battery. In a setting of restitution hearing the court granted the motion to withdraw as counsel by attorney David Allred and Mark Tanner was appointed as counsel. The restitution hearing is scheduled for Oct. 15. Joshua Christman. Christmas faces a felony count of Aggravated Assault. Christman waived a preliminary hearing and was bound over to the district court.
