Show C1 Life Is The Emery County Review, Tuesday, July 29, 2008 Swell Emery and Carbon Counties, Utah u Living in the San Rafael Swell Area u Fair Take me to the T James L. Davis here’s something about a fair. The music, the food, the displays of art and crafts and grandma’s prize preserves. The chance to bump into old friends or perhaps avoid bumping into neighbors from down the street. The chance to meet, greet, slap a few backs, tell a few jokes and laugh at a few others. A county fair is a little bit of the above and perhaps a good deal more that is mixed together every year into a witches’ brew and sent wafting through the county, drawing everyone to come together for a time and celebrate a county, its people and way of life. Emery County is hoping to catch a little of the magic of a fair and share it with everyone as organizers see endless hours of work come to fruition at the Emery County Fair 2008. Billed as “Let the Magic Continue,” fair organizers have thrown a little bit of everything into the year’s event, and they have high hopes that Castle Dale will be the center of attention for residents of Emery and Carbon counties and visitors far and wide as the fair unfolds July 30 to Aug. 2.
