See Taurn Aokl, the Japanese star, in her Universal success, The Breath of the Gods." The romance of the Far East, the inscrutable mystery of old Nippon, the intrigues of state, and the overmastering power of human love and devotion are the main ingredients of The Breath of the Gods, the Universal - special production starring Tsuru Aokl (Mrs. Bessue Haya-kaw- a) which will be shown at the Crescent Theatre next Sunday. Miss Aoki recently signed a contract with Universal for a limited number of special features, and the producers have left nothing, undone to make the first production of. the series one that will make screen history. For the story they took the novel of the same name by Sydney McCall which enjoyed such a tremendous sale, and they gave It into the hands of Rollin Sturgeon for presentation on the screen. They engaged Corley Xto, famous Japanese artist, as technical director, so that the atmosphere of Japan might be reproduced with complete fidelity to every detail. To support the star, who is already known as the Japanese Bernhardt, they engaged Barney Sherry, who enacts the role of the American ambassador, and Marlon Skinner and Ethel Shannon, who appear as his wife and daughter. Crescent Theatre Sunday. . . a- -- Just What She' Needed. I used a bottle of Chamberlains Tablets some time ago and they proved to be Just what I needed, writes Mrs. Volta Bankson, Mo.
