Both teams had problems with fouling, and many of the points scored in the fourth quarter were free throws. As the game was coming to an end, Jayci Peay (Maple Mountain) was fouled and made both of her foul shots, making the score 45-26, and soon the Golden Eagles scored again, bringing the score to 47-26. Just before the end of the game, Jessica Benson (Maple Mountain) was fouled and made both of her foul shots, bringing the final score to 50-36. "We had a great game, and played an excellent third quarter. I felt our press was very effective most of the game, and it was definitely defense that made the difference in the ball game," said Maple Mountain's Coach Cory Green. "Jessica Benson and Kelsey Lewis played well on the offensive end of the floor, and Jayci Peay played great on defense as well, as she was defending Kate Jar man / The Sentinel their best player, Sarah Madsen, for most of the evening."
