Move over Coach Shoe, here comes Brian Dudley and Shane Marshall. When asked about their championship and how it felt, Shane Marshall said, "It feels really, really, really good". Baiden Beck was considering a trip to Disneyland and Shawn Rawlings was positive about a trip to his pillow and mattress. When asked about this year's tournament, Brady Dansie of the Spanish Fork Recreation Department noted that "this event has become a family tradition for some of the teams. It is fun for these families to come together for the holiday and play together." Thirteen teams competed in this year classic. Three other teams tried to register *on the day of the event but missed the window of opportunity. There is always next year or Fiesta Days. The dodgeball tournament is part of the recreation department's special event/non-typical recreation series. A winter snow softball tournament is played in January followed up with a kick ball tournament in July during Fiesta Days. Also added for the 2008 season will be the inaugural Whiffle ball three- on-three tournament. Whiffle ball will be played during Fiesta Days. More in- Wrestling: CHRISTOPHER J. Add to this the fact that the junior strongman was wrestling at 215 pounds, well over his 185 pound true weight and his performance was even more impressive. Finishing up the night's action for the Dons was senior Brock Wilson, who made a game effort to out do Kitchen as he put the hurt on Springville's Austin Hunt with a pin only one minute and forty seconds into thefirstround. Despite losing to a neighboring rival, coach Dave Clark's charges can put a bit of positive spin on this effort, knowing that once at full strength, they will be much better as a team and very tough to beat on most nights. Looking back on the night's effort, coach Clark mused, "It's early and we're still not in top wrestling shape yet, but these kids are working hard and it won't be long before we get to where we need to be. Add to that the addition of some of the kids who could not get on the mat tonight and I'm cautiously optimistic about the direction we're headed."
