There was a great turn out at the 3rd annual Boulder Extreme Horseman Challenge. Jared Lyman won the competition for the second year in a row, closely followed by Chad Lyman. In 3rd place was Ross Rote, 4th went to Cassie Lyman, and Chad Lyman came in 5th place with his second horse. After that were Bronson Oyler, Mandy Barnson, Jamie Barnson, Audrey Austin, and Breck Crystal. Special thanks to our judges: Arnold Alvey, Garth Noyes, and Mark Lisonbee. After a week of on and off rain showers the weather was ideal for the outdoor events in the park. Saturday afternoon there was a poetry workshop headed up by Jolynn Kirkwood followed by a horseshoe tournament with a dozen competitors. Saturday evening gave local cowboys and cowgirls a chance to recite a few of their favorite stories, poems and songs to the very satisfied crowd.
