Show APRIL 5,2007 Page 2 THE GARFIELD COUNTY INSIDER CALENDAR EVENTS THURSDAY, A P R I L 5 • GSENM "Leave No Trace" Walk & Talk PANGUITCH Led once more by their brilliant sophomore, Trac Norris, The Panguitch boys track team continued rolling on in their quest for another State Title, as they a scored a first place total of 130 points in the 11 team Milford Invitational, Saturday. Norris, who in all three meets this season, has yet to finish anyplace but first, racked up qualifying wins in the 800 meter run, the 110 meter hurdles, the 300 meter hurdles and anchored the winning and qualifying 4x400 meter relay team of Taylor Bremner, Eric Frandsen and Cameron Leach. Leach also qualified for state with a first in 200 meter run, a first in the discus, and a second in the shot put. Tyler Pollock, Josh Bateman, Taylor Bremner, and Brady Barney also qualified with a 2nd in the Medley Relay. Other qualifiers were, Kaz Pollock with a throw of 125' 5 1/2" in the discus and Andy Barney with a throw of 119' 4 1/2". Eric Frandsen scored well with 2nds in the 110 meter hurdles and the 300 meter hurdles, and Josh Bateman had a second in the javelin. Refreshments will be served. 1A ALL STATE SELECTIONS The Salt Lake Tribune's Basketball All State teams were announced this week and quite a few young men from our area received the honor. The Bobcat's senior Cameron Leach and junior Josh Bateman, Escalante's fine junior Ky Roundy, and Piute's senior Scott Dalton, all were named to the first team. Second team honors went to the Bobcat's Tyler Pollock and Brady Barney, the Moqui's Devin McLemore, and the Thunderbird's Kelsie Newby and Skyler Steed. Congratulations and Well Done Gentleman!!!!
