Make sure and drink plenty of fluids and eat a good breakfast before donating. April 14, Spring Field Day at Dan Peterson School Volunteers are needed to help with this annual field day. The Dan Peterson School is a school for children with disabilities. Volunteers are needed to be one on one buddies with the student during thefieldday. April 19, Bare Necessities, noon-5:00. Center Stage Prepare and envelope quilts by cutting out fabric, assembling quilts, and sewing pieces together. No experience needed. The quilts will be tied on the actual Bare Necessities event, April 22nd. All quilts will be donated to .local non-profit organizations Community Volunteer Opportunities Eagle Scout Project - Diabetes prevention Diabetes affects 1 in 15 adults in Utah County. The number one factor in its control and preventions awareness. In honor of Diabetes Awareness Month and help the UVSC community understand its impact, causes, and who is at risk we will be placing a booth in front of the Center for Service and Learning (SC 101) on April 6th and 7th from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Since one of the goals is activate the community to serve the community we are asking UVSC students to help. Those who agree to help will be distributing information on Diabetes and answering the questions of your fellow students.
