SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - A white supremacist was sentenced Tuesday to 20 years in prison for stabbing another inmate while in a federal courthouse holding cell. Lance Vanderstappen, 26, pleaded guilty to a charge of attempted murder in U.S. District Court, He was accused of using a handmade shiv he had smuggled into the Salt Lake City courthouse to repeatedly stab a Hispanic inmate. The man was not seriously hurt. In court Tuesday, Vanderstappen said he had planned to use the weapon to kill a minority, the U.S. attorney's office said.
