The show will run from Sept, 7 through Sept 10. Students at Utah State University have the opportunity to travel back in time to the big band era on Wednesday and help celebrate America. The Celebrate America show has been around for six years. Before the Celebrate America show came to be, the Glen Miller Show was the big show in Logan that had dinner and dance. After the Glen Miller Show was canceled due to budget cuts, the community realized how much they loved this tradition of bringing the big band era and Broadway-style shows to Logan. That's when the Celebrate America show was born. Brenda Anthony, one of the show's coordinators, said the show is a great chance for students to come out and meet new people. "You don't have to bring a date," Anthony said. "You can "You leave the showj thinking great things ibout our country. Brenda Antho orcftnalor just come single and mingle." The show is also a great chance for students to get to dance to big band style music, "This is not a dance that you get offered every day. Students should take advantage of the special evening," Anthony said. The show for the general public cost $39.95. This Wednesday, USU students only have to pay $5 to see the show. The show is expected to be bigger and better than years before. The TSC Ballroom will be decorated with an elaborate set and outside the ballroom there will be war veterans with different displays for the students to enjoy.
