The project, called "The Manor,' will be complete with all of the frills of any modern-day mansion, and all students will be treated like princesses and princes. Each dorm will have a personal garage, so cars won't be snowed in during the winter. There are also plans for swimming pools. Ronald King the Third, a sophomore in architecture, said, "Something like the Manor gives students a real sense of pride. It'll be dope:' There will also be a bowling alley, a movie theater (so the students of the Manor won't have to co-exist with the peasants at local theaters) and gourmet chefs for each dorm. "Freshman 15? With the live-in chef we can rest assured that it will be Freshman 155," the Third said. Carrie Marshal, a junior in leadership, worries the Manor won't live up to the hype. "I just don't think having a jacuzzi next to my massage bed will do me that much good': she said. The Third disagrees. He's excited for the new dorm mansions, including the personal maids. "Do you know how many pairs of underwear I have wasted because I didn't know how to do my laundry?" he said. "Having maids is going to fix all of the evils of dorm life." To apply to live in the Manor, students must have a terrible GPA. Students excelling in work and school will not be admitted. The mansions are strictly for those who need help doing everyday tasks and enjoy being pampered. Iskrivan@chronicle.utah.edu @JulianneSkrivan Become a teacher.
