Show notice to the property owners in juab county A vigorous ellort effort Is being made this year by the board of county commissioners the county auditor and county treasurer to clear up all unredeemed tax sales on which the statutory period for redemption has expired the tax sale records show hundreds of old sales some of them dating back as far as 1897 which still stand as a lien on the property covered by them these old sales have not only been a continual source of trouble to property owners and county officers but constitute a real menace to the property holders as any person may after the tour four years have passed pay the amount of the taxes costs and interest and demand a deed to the property and may thereafter oust the occupant and hold the property it Is therefore extremely imprudent tor for owners of property to allow old tax sales to stand against their property the law provides that at the ex pi pir atlon ration of tour four years all property sold to the county for delinquent taxes shall if still unredeemed be deeded lo 10 the county and advertised tor for sale at public auction during the month of may the board of coun court ty commissioners at their meeting april directed me as county auditor to issue deeds on all such unredeemed property and advertise same for sale as provided by law before this list of property is pub halted however owners may re deem any property covered by such sales it is therefore urged that all property holders investigate their titles or watch tor for the publication of the list of lands to be sold and in case property appears in the lint which they had not been aware had been sold for taxes that they ma be prepared to buy up same when it is offered at public auction il V great many tracts of land town lots and mining claims have old sales against them which the present own ers may not be aware of respectfully Hespect tully submitted WILL L HOYT county clerk and auditor |
