Police said the motive was robbery, but they did not reveal what, if anything, was taken from her home. | Mullins went to at least two neigh- borhood houses saying he lost his dog before entering Davis’, said. At one house, authorities Mullins knocked and when there was no answer walked in, Evans said. The women inside the two houses told police they thought he was suspicious and referred to their husbands before asking him to leave. Davis was found dead in her bed- room by her son Thursday afternoon, Evans said. The teen-ager was Raced Friday night in front of a Richfield grocery store as he exited his parent’s car. Police worked with Arizona authorities to determine the teen-ager’s identity. He and his parents arrived in Utah from Arizona about three weeks ago. Last year he was charged with mur- dering a Yuma Arizona woman, but charges were dropped because of lack of evidence. Authorities there are hoping to gather enough eo to charge him again. When Mullins was 15 he was charged in Montana with sexually assaulting an 89-year-old woman. Police there told KSL newsradio that he fled the state before he could appear in court. Davis’ murder is the first in Richfield since 1948, police said. This kid needs to be put away,” Evans said Friday. Mullins will have a - preliminary hearing on May 17th.
