When we came up with idea of baving a scary story contest, we were hoping for at least one entry per category; I bluntly thought the idea of getting entry volumes anywhere near the double digits was just a dream. ; ; Wad ‘ I ET TCT eee ee Never in my life did I imagine that we would have well over one hundred entries come in to our office. Originally we had minds in our community. Unfortunately space forced us to contain ourselves. intended to have just one winner from each category. Then, as the volume of entries We've chosen twelve stories total to represent our ‘youngest categories. We've attempted to leave the stories as they were mounted, when we received them, mistakes and all; we upped that to three winners per category. Every time we tried to narrow that’s what gives these stories their charm, the field down more, we'd inevitably be left with the task of removing someone’s favorite story from contention. | personality, and makes them seem so Frankly, if we had the space, we'd print group story winners; they’re fantastic, too. This week, we invite you to take a few min- every story. The time, the effort, the energy and thought that went into each story we received builds a colorful montage of the real to us. Next week we will print our adult story and utes and read what the youth of Wasatch County think will scare you speechless, too. |
