Show WASATCH COUNTY COURIER SPORTS WHS Varsity Football WHS JV Football The Wasps continue they’re winning streak, beating Uintah High School 14-13 on Friday night, October 15, in Vernal. This game saw the Wasp’s defense step up and make big plays. In the Ist half it was all Wasatch. The defense held Uintah to 68 total yards and just one first down. The offense finally got going in the 2nd quarter when Josh Probst ripped off a 25 yard run. Ryan VanRoosendaal followed Probst’s run with two big runs of 14 and 15 yards. Probst finished the drive with a 4-yard touchdown run. Abe Dummar kicked the extra point, making the score 7-0 in Wasatch’s favor. Wasatch traveled to Salt Laké City to take on Judge Memorial High School. Wasatch lost the first game 15-10. The lady Wasps fought hard and won the second game 715. In the third game and final of the match the Lady Wasps lost 15-5. The Wasatch record fell to 5-3 in Region 10 play. In the 4th quarter Wasatch completed a series on pass plays and a couple of VanRoosendaal runs-to bring the ball to the Uintah 1-yard line.
