A New Portrait Of His Children How 'time seems to fly. First Christmas, then Valentines Day and Easter. By the time June and Fathers Day comes, your ideas for gifts are usually just about exhausted. This year think about giving the father in your house a portrait photograph of his son or daughter that he can keep throughout the year. This gift will give him as much pleasure a year from now as it did the day he received it. And best of all it will be a great surprise. Portraits can look so natural today with the excellent color processing. They are even considered by many to be better than oils. The photographer can catch the child in many different moods and poses within minutes, and you will have your choice of many good portraits instead of just one from an artist. To make your gift even more meaningful, why not consider having your child's portrait taken in an informal pose. Near a piano if he is musical, on a baseball field if he is athletic, or doing a hobby if he has one. This way you will have a portrait that will show your childs charac ter as well as his face. If you do plan to have a portrait taken, make appointment with your photographer well in advance. You dont want to be ushed or have to choose quickly from the contact prints. Tell him what you have in mind and ask him for any suggestions he might have. Here are some tips from photographers that might help you. If the child is small make the appointment for just after his nap. This way he will b i well rested. Give him a snack before he comes, too. Keep the wardrobe simple. Do not use frills and ruffles for a girl or busy stripes for a boy. This will detract from the childs face. Naturalness is the key. In hair grooming this is especially true. A girls hair should be clean and worn the way it usually is. Some wispy ends are fine just as long as they do not get in the way of her features. A boy should have a haircut several days before he has his portrait taken. This will give him time to get rid look. of that just-cu- t -- 0 TRUE 19" PICTURE O Compact styling O Built-i- n telescoping $1499.5 Niom 262-297- 1 MARK BROWN antenna 172 Square Inches of PICTURE 0 Instaview with stand Give your Graduate a O O Front Speaker .
