department in 1906 serving until 1950 when he retired as a lieutenant Since his retirement he had worked for a short time at the Orpheum theatre He married Nelle Checketts in Ogden May 15 1914 He was a charter member of the Utah State Firemen's association N J Hinton along with only charter members He was a member of Weber lodge No 6 F and A M He was also a member of the L D S Thirtieth I ex-Chi- FORCE BASE — An engine reurgent call for aircraft out sent was today by helpers pair officials of Hill air force base Approximately 127 mechanic helpers win be needed in the engine repair section at Hill AFB by tomorrow night according to Joseph W Neville Jr chief of employes utilization branch The immediate need for aircraft engine mechanics is to speed work on a rush project of reconditioning aircraft Mr Neville said Six months' experience In any line of mechanics will qualify a person for these engine repair helper positions Wages range from $121 to $147 an hour and applicants must be at least 18 years of age This call is for male workers only Mr Neville said To make application for one of these aircraft engine repair helper positions qualified personnel are urged to immediately contact the Utah State employment security office on Washington Ogden the USES office 55 West Third South Salt Lake City or the civil service employment offices located in the post offices in Ogden
