Session One will begin at 8 30 a m , and will be dismissed at p.m. Session Two will begin at 9:40 and will be dismissed at 3.40 p m. "We here at Salina Elementary are very excited about the new year. We have several new employees at the Elementary, with Dcanne Tidlund, Carol Jacobsen, and Brenda coming to the school along with the Fifth Crade students," reported Secretary, Margaret Kiescl. The course will cover word processing and data base management programs such Woras how to use Lotus dPerfect 5.0, and DBase 111. Student assignments will w-l- be exchanged with the teleteacher by mail. Tests will be given by site monitors at participating high schools or USU extension centers throughout the state. This is a 3 quarter hour credit course and will covcollege er one semester of high school time. The course will be repeated second semester. The class will also be open to Sophomores and Juniors but only for Vocational Credit. The permits will be issued for four sites in the Deer Peak area. South of Fremont Junction along (about 42 miles from Richfield, or 24 miles from Salina). The four sites are marked with BLM signs "Free Use". The permits will be valid only on these sites. His exhibit area was filled with piegons, pheasants, chickens, rabbits, turkeys in all age ranges, from tiny chicks to adults. The area was a favorite with children of all ages. OF ATV's, OFF HIGHWAY VEHICLES Volunteers needed to instruct young drivers The Utah Division of Parks and Recreation is seeking volunteers to teach Snowmobile, ATV and or off highway motorcycle education classes. Utah law requires off highway vehicle operators on public lands or roads to have cither a valid motor vehicle drivers license or an off highway vehicle education certificate. Volunteers will be primarily teaching students ages 8 through 15. The Division will train all qualified volunteer instructors.
