I think we had forgotten how nice the rains could be, in fact, what rain was like. The lawn, the flowers, the trees, the fields were so pretty after the rain. Ed and Ruth Maxwell are very happy because they just become grandparents to a little baby boy. Jason Lee Stive was born July 28 in Carlsbad, CA. His parents are Keith and Laurel Stive. This little guy weighed 5 lbs and 13 ozs. and was 19 inches long. Congratulations to the parents and to Grandpa and Grandma Maxwell. Arlo and Doris Jensen are grandparents once again. Denise and Richard Evans have a new baby daugther. The little miss has one brother and two sisters. Doris flew to Clovis, CA. to helpw ith the children and the new baby. The baby son of Steve and Sheila Olsen was given a name Sean Lucien Oslen by his great grandfather Lucicn Bown. Sean has two brothers and oen sister. A family dinner was enjoyed by many family members. The young son of Roger and Susan Young was given a name and a blessing by his father. Jacob Frederick Young has two sisters and three Visitors at the Young home for this special occasion were Merv and Ann Haney and family of Bountiful. Nathan Dirk Jensen, son of Dirk and LaVene Jensen was confirmed a member of the Church by his father. Visitors at the Jensen home were grandparents Warrenand Jean Jensen of Salina, and Mr. and Mrs. Shaun Jensen and daughter of Axtell. brothers. Ann Westenskow, daugther of and Ray Patty Westenshow was confirmed a members of the Church by her father. Visitors at the home of Ray and Patty were Rod and Barbara Bumgardner and family of Salina, Bonnie Nordfelt of Salina, Harry anc Helen McCoy and family of Salt Bake City, Viola Lund of Fountain Green, and Steve, Robins Fiance. 0ur sympathy goes to the family of Bill Nay. Our valley ahs been shocked by this tragedy and want you to know that we thought of him as a special friend and will be missed by all of us. Roger and Gladys Anderson, Suzanne Sanders and children all of Gunnison, David and Janice Dally and family of Salt Lake City attended Chruch when Jeffrey was named and blessed and then enjoyed a family dinner after Church. This makes Fifteen grandchildren for Roger and Gladys. Visitors at Roger and Gldys Andersons were Mary and Kenneth Stoker from C Amarillo, CA. Mary is the daughter of the late Betty Lou Bench. Jim and Kent Sanders are attending a computer training school in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The infant son of Allen and Diane Dyreng was given a name adn a blessing by his father. Travis Paul has three sisters and one brother. Family members attended Church with the Dyreng family. Fifty three members of the family gathered for dinner after chruch at the home of Allen and Diane. Special guest was Sarah Tuttle great grandmother of Travis. Matthew Neal Loffland, 15, died July 25, 1988 in a Salt Lake hospital of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. He was bom April 20, 1973 in Delta, Utah to Dani E. and Judy Day Draper Lofland. He had just completed the ninth grade at North Sevier High School. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-da- y Saints.
