Show I Wolves off to Region play North Sevier was busy last week with their two final games of the regular season. They will be off to Region this weekend that will be held In Kanab where they will meet Panguitch on Friday. In their game against the Delta Rabbits, the Rabbits seemed to dominate the game and thus the final score of 76-6- 1. According to Coach Craig Gladwell, it was the full court press that seemed to make the difference in the momentum of the game and the ultimate win for Delta. That full court press ; just rattled us and we turned the ball over way too many times," he said. Turning the ball over was a problem. The Wolves gave the ball to Delta 18 times in the first half and 26 for the entire game so there was some im-- . provement in the second half. Gladwell also felt the game was played at much to fast a pace for his team to gain their composure and game plan. In fouls. Delta likes going inside to their big players and these fouls on North Sevier had an impact on the game. Steve Christensen fin- ished with 15 points. Brandon had 13 and Jason Nleslon also had 13 points. Shooting 12 of 24 shots from the foul line was also a factor that the Wolves just couldnt seem to close the gap in the final minutes of the game. They didnt do much better from the floor as they hit only 17 of 48 from the field. They did hit 5 of 9 three pointers which is good. Against South Sevier on Saturday it was North Seviers night as they pulled another win away from South Sevier by a score of This game was close, close, throughout with the veiy exception of the third quarter when the Rams pulled ahead by 9 but this was cut to only 1 when a full court press was added to the Wolvess game plan. The first quarter ended with North Sevier behind At the half it was 30-2- 6 for the Rams. 41-3- 9 was the score at the end of the third. Then it was time for the fourth quarter and it was a game of one team ahead by one then the other as they traded baskets until late in the game. With 25 seconds left in the game South Sevier missed their shot and the Wolves rebounded and took 'the ball down the court. 51-5- 0. 15-1- the closing moments of the game the Wolves would get to within 8 or 10 points only to turn the ball over and let the Rabbits score 4 or 6 points to push the lead back out. Fouls were also a factor as Steve Christensen fouled out in the third quarter and Brandon Kiesel sat out some time in the second quarter because of They were fouled 4. and went to Kanab High will host Region 2 Tournament Stock Dog Training Seminar owners who use their animals for livestock operations will be held Februaiy 26 and 27, in Cedar City. It was a one and one and with a chance to go ahead by three they missed the front end and South Sevier rebounded the loose ball. They called time out with 12 seconds left. Gladwell felt they would go to their hot shot guard for the last shot and he was correct. The wolves crowded around him to force the shot up which he did and he missed. The only problem was that South Sevier rebounded and went up for the last second shot. It missed too and North Sevier won the game by one.
