These instructors give a lot of their time to help promote hunter IN STATE COMPETITION ethics and hunter safety to our young hunters, Pannunzio said. Fremont Indian State Park needs volunteers effort to better serve the visitors to the newly created Fremont Indian State Park, We are looking for people who would be willing to donate one or two days a week to work as park guides, said I ark Superintendent, Gordon In an Topham. Training would be given in communication skills and the natural and cultural history of the canyon, with in depth training about the Fremont Indians and the theories of the purpose of rock art. Also training will provide information about the recreational opportunities of Utah as a whofe, and the surrounding area specifically. Topham says the volunteer guides would be involved in information desk operations as museum tour guides and as guides on the short interperative walks. The names of those interested would need to be received by Topham before the end of Febru- ary, so that training can be planned in March. W class; Chuck Roberts, 1st, and Outstanding Wrestler in the Upper Three Wrestlers from North Sevier High won top honors during state competition last week. Warren Hansen took first in his weight NUMBER restling season concluded last week with the State Wrestling Tournament that was held in Kamas and this years North Sevier W olves finished a strong second ONE: Weight Class; Brady Edwards, 1st in his weight class. behind W ayne County. All year the wolves have strug- gled just points behing Wayne 'county pnd the story remained the same at state. What surprised some at state was how well North Sevier did with the nine wrestlers they took to state. Wayne 'County finished first with 146 points. They had 11 wrestlers at the state tournament. North Sevier was second with 113 points and only had 9 state wrestlers. Duchesne was third yo k points and took 11 Montecello was fourth, with 73 points and 9 wrestlers. Just behind Monticello by Vz point was Gunnison who finished fifth. Mounument Valley was next followed by Milford, Beaver and' Piute. 1 The State Tournament was not1 without excitement as North Sev-- . ier took first place in three weights, second in two more and one fourth place. W arren controlled his last match of the season with little problem as he defeated Westwood of Piute 11-Westwood was the one that pinned Hansen at region and this was the rub commented a fan of Hansens. W arren is a senior this year and now a two time state champion. Brady has been consistently winning all year and he too was tickled pink to face off and win Ekker from W ayne County for first place. This score was the same as their Region duel for that championship also as Brady won Brady is a senior this year. He beat Ekker who is a two time state champion. Chuck Roberts has also been a consistent winner th is year and showed up stron gat state with 1. these was defeated for second place. George commented that individually they did well and collectively the team performed at its best at state. Fans were also very complimentary of the coaches this year. They felt the coaches demanded the respect that mad ethem winners this year. Data has been collected since 1985 from blood donors and military recruits. With the addition of other study grups, rates of infection and patterns of transmission can be characterized. Mandatory reporting of HIV infections will not be established at present. The need for reporting will be evaluated on a regular basis and established if needed. Voluntary reports of all HIV infections are encouraged. Assitance will be provided to HIV infected persons so that they can notify sexual contacts and drug sharing partners. Phy- sicians and other health care providers who have a duty to warn potentially infected individuals will be encouraged to report cases and accept health department assistance. |
