and Shirley Torgerson Torrey received his Eagle Scout award in Torrey on Feb 8 His Eagle project was laying of some 1100 square feet of flagstone rock for a floor under the Torrey LDS Ward pavilion Torgerson organized a dinner to get funds for materials needed for the project and with other scouts and adults in the community excavated the ground under the pavilion quarried the rock and bedded the rock in sand for the floor of the pavilion Torgerson was born in Payson and resided in Santaquin until five years of age when the family moved to Torrey He is a sophomore at Wayne High School where he plays on the varsity and junior varsity basketball teams He is also a member of the Hcn-t- y Mountain Rodeo Team competing in calf roping and team roping He is an active member of the LDS
