offered the family prayer Doug Allan played prelude and postlude music and Rex Lund offered the invocation A tribute was given by Jack Lund and speaker was Margie Dalton with remarks by Bishop James Music included selection by the Relief Society Choir "Beyond The Sunset" accompanied by Doug Allan vocal duct by Leri Revty and Jackie Webb "Somewhere My Love" accompanied by Doug Allan and a hymn sung by the congregation Curtis Lund offered the benediction Interment was in the Marysvale Mountain View Cemetery by Neal Irelta Bastian VERMILLION — Irelta Mae Blau Bastian returned to her Heavenly Home on February 11 1994 She peacefully left this earth life while at home surrounded by her family Sixty-thre- e years young she waged and won a valiant seven-ye- ar battle with ovarian cancer maintaining her optimistic and cheerful attitude She served others every day of her life w hether she herself was feeling well or not Her life was filled with love and good will towards all A faithful member of the LDS Church she served many years as the Primary Chorister which was her favorite calling because of her great love for children She also led the ward choir in Sigurd for 12 years She served valiantly in numerous other callings She was bom August 14 1930 in Thatcher Ariz a daughter of Herman and Teresa Mac Richardson Blau She married Burke Vernal Bastian on October 15 1954 in the Mesa Arizona LDS Temple for all eternity Together they raised six children who have each also been married in the temple to a choice companion Her children arc: Bonnie and Steven Moore 6f Kearns Utah Jolcne and Ed Robbins of Sandy Utah Bcvan Vem and Gay Bastian of Gunnison Utah Eric Douglas and Julie Bastian of Shoreline Minnesota: Nolan Dee and Vicky Bastian of Vermillion Utah Tammy and Brent Low of Sl George Utah She has been blessed John I Bailey Our beloved son brother and grandson John Ira Bailey age 10 died Feb 14 1994 in Washington Utah as a result of an auto-pedestri- accident He was bom Nov 23 1983 in Nephi Utah a son of David and Patricia Yowell Bailey He was a student at Washington Elementary School and had attended Pahvant He Elementary School in Richfield was an active member Shirl Peter band father grandfather brother and friend passed away following a heart attack on February 1 1 1994 lie was an honorable man Bom on October 30 1917 in Junction Utah to McKinley Morrill and Rora Ahlstrom He attended elementary and high school in Piute misCounty He served a two-yesion for the LDS Church in the East Central States Mission from 1938 to 1940 After his mission Shirl joined the United States Navy and was stationed at Pearl Harbor on the USS Pennsylvania at the time of the Japanese attack He was involved in many of the major battles in the Pacific theater In addition to belonging to the Pearl Harbor Survivors Association he was a member of the American Legion and VFW After the war he completed a BS degree in banking and finance at Brigham Young University He worked for 31 years as the manager of the Richfield branch of the Utah Production Credit Association retiring in 1979 He enjoyed working with farmers and ranchers and he loved horses He was active in the LDS Church fulfilling several callings He was also involved in community service as a charter member of the Richfield Lions Club and Elks Club Since 1986 he spent his summers in Orem and winters in Phoenix so that he could enjoy the horse races there Shirl married Darlene Holderman on March 19 1948 He is survived by his wife his sisters Gwen Anderson Orem and Helen Hood Leeds two sons Lynn Phoenix and Craig Las Vegas two daughhus- ters Shirlcne Robbins Fortuna Calif and Marilyn Walton Orem 12 grandchildren four His parents and brother Max preceded him in death His family friends
