The baby weighed in at 9 lbs. 4 oz. He will be named Joshua Mark Jackson. Two coincidences marked the day of his birth. It was his older brother Matthews 13th birthday and it was the day on which his grandmother, Mrs. Mabel Hammond, Colorado Springs, Colo., received a Mission call. Joshua Mark was welcomed home by six brothers and two sisters. Texas-Hous-to- Great-Grandchil- Miss Bridgett Benson and Alfonso Juarez were married in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on August 6, with President Curtis w performing the ceremony. Bridgett is the daughter of Donald Benson, Logan, and Mrs. Susan P. Scow and Mrs. Laura Lee Scow announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Deborah Ann to Scott Larsen, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Don Larsen, Sterling, Utah. Both Deborah and Scott are Mixed Emotions Ingrid de Puy, who spent the past year here as an international exchange student, left for The Netherlands, her homeland, recently. She flew to Washington, D. C., where she had a tour of the city and a personal interview with the ambassador from The Nether- lands, before continuing on to her home. I am leaving with mixed emotions, she said, anxious to see my family again, but filled with regret at leaving so many friends 1 made while in America. I hope each one will write to me often. Ingrid travelled with her host family, the Max Aycocks, the week before she left. They went to Idaho for a camping trip with the Dennis Carroll family, then on to Yellowstone Park, Teton Park and Fort Bridger. Before her departure Ingrid attended the Mormon Miracle Pageant and hopes to return next year with her parents so they can see it, too. Ingrid took an active part at Manti High School, where she won Sterling Scholar honors, in community affairs, at the college branch which she attended, in her neighborhood and in the home of her American family, the Aycocks. Mr. and Mrs. Grant Dyreng 50 years together Poultry Scientists Meet Utah poultry scientists, including Dr. Donald C. Dobson, Ephraim, will share results of their research with scientists from over the nation August The event is the 1977 Poultry Science Association annual meeting ' at Auburn University, Auburn, Ala. Results of three research projects conducted through the Agricultural Experiment Station, Utah State University, will be reported in scientific papers. These include newly developed mathematical equations used in formulating poultry diets, using grass cover on turkey ranges to reduce the breast blister problem and making use of more late hatch turkey poults. Scientists reporting these findings say that the information has the potential benefit of reducing costs of producing turkeys so that consumers may continue enjoying an abundance of turkey meat at reasonable prices. She is currently employed in Provo. The groom graduated from the LDS College in Mexico City, in elementary education. He is a junior at Brigham Young University, majoring in graphic design, and is an instructor in Mexican folklore dance. He is currently employed in Provo. The newlyweds will make their home in Provo. A wedding breakfast was held at the Grandmothers Restaurant at the Print Shop, hosted by the father of the bride. A reception and dinner was held at the stake center that evening, hosted by the bridal couple, with musical numbers and dancing presented by friends of the couple. Mrs. Marie Benson attended the temple marraige and the other events, including bridal shower tendered Bridgett by close friends and relatives at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Sheryl Benson, Salt Lake City. d ts field, Va.
