broadcast on April 22 Only two selections were played but both were of exceptional merit and unusual difficulty for junior high school students The first ‘The Golden Sceptre” overture was a pretentious number calling for a real appreciation of music careful intei pi etation and varied technic The second number was selections from ‘The Merry Widow and this too showed unusual technical
