My little friend Elaine was going to have her tooth pulled She asked my brother if it hurt when he had his tooth pulled “Yes” he said “it hurt when they put the monkey wrench in my mouth" VERA DEAN WILSON age 7 Fillmore Once upon a time there was a snowman who lived on a large hill He was a fat funny snowman and all the children loved him In his mouth ho carried a long pipe and on his head sat a tall black stovepipe hat One day when Mr Sun was yery hot he melted the poor showman away The children felt very sad’and scolded Mr Sun Mr Sun wus very frightened indeed - Ife hurried quickly The behind a black cloud children ran out to the yard to rebuild Mr Snowman When Mr Snowman was finished he took off his comical hat and bowed stiffly and said “Thank you dear children!” He lived very happily with his good little friends until winter waS over when Lady Spring changed him into a bubbling brook PAGE JACK BAKER aged 7 Salt Lake - !
