Team Hill's Key Spouses, commanders, directors and first sergeants are invited to learn more about agencies and resources available to military families. Several speakers will share their experience and expertise. A welcome reception will begin at 5:30 p.m. with heavy hor d'ouerves served at 6 p.m. The event is free for all Key Spouses courtesy of the Utah Military Family Foundation. Mark A. Welsh III, each one is critical to the Air Force mission and each one has a story to tell. As outlined in the Air Force vision, "every Airman, regardless of specialty, must Airmen can explain their role in producing airpower for America by emailing their story to YourAFstory@pentagon. af.mil . The "Global Vigilance, Global Reach, Global Power for America," document explains how the Air Force provides airpower for America and further, how Airmen directly power the Air Force's core understand and be able to explain how they contribute to producing unparalleled airpower for our nation. Kathryn Kolbe, 75th Air Base Wing commander, and Barbara Riddle, Davis Area Convention & Visitor's Bureau CEO and president, sign an agreement Aug. 26 coordinating lodging opportunities between the base and surrounding visitor's bureaus. This agreement will make it easier and lower the number of phone calls needed to arrange and accommodate visitor group lodging. Waiting to sign the agreements are Christian Peal, installation lodging manager, and Sara Tolliver, Ogden Weber Convention & Visitor's Bureau CEO and president. Personnel center seeks public input The Air Force Personnel Center is conducting a feasibility assessment for a NAF construction project to build a new Golf Clubhouse at Hill Air Force Base. The center is looking for public input to improve the quality and level of service, to do so the community is invited to participate in a survey. Air Force Ball honors past, future Lt. Gen. Bruce A. Litchfield, Air Force Sustainment Center commander, will speak at the Air Force 2013 Ball to be held Sept. 20. "Honoring Our Past ... Embracing Our Future," will be the theme of the event to be held in Hangar 37. Mess dress/semiformal is required for military personnel. Formal/black tie or business attire is required for civilians. Jason Wiggins at jason.wiggins@hill.af.mil or by phone at 801-777-9739. 419th Fighter Wing Family Day Sept. 14 The 419th Fighter Wing will honor families of wing Reservists with food and entertainment during Family Day Sept. 14 at Centennial Park from noon to 4 p.m. Activities will include a barbecue lunch, games, bouncy houses, a dunk tank and prizes. Military demonstrations will include security forces, firefighters, Explosive Ordnance Disposal, and the base's military working dogs. Children may bring swimsuits and towels, as the park's splash pad will also be open. Representatives from various organizations will be on hand including the Department of Veterans Affairs, Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve, and TriCare. For information, call Lt. Col. TODD CROMAR U.S. Air Force Hill AFB signs community partnership agreement for hotel lodging BY RICHARD ESSARY 75th Air Base Wing Public Affairs T he base entered into a new community partnership Monday that will further strengthen ongoing cooperation with the Davis Area and Ogden-Weber Convention and Visitors Bureaus, as well as northern Utah's hotel industry. A memorandum of agreement, signed with both convention and visitors bureaus, effectively expands opportu- nities for local hotels to participate in Hill's commercial lodging program by allowing groups of 10 or more on official government travel to utilize off-base lodging when there isn't lodging available on base. The migration will last three months, and Hill AFB technicians will migrate workstations, network users, and e-mail into the AFNet. The goal of this project is to consolidate all individual or stand-alone Air Force networks into the AFNet. Software and hardware problems are to be expected, but the AFNet migration project ith the upcoming Hill Air Force Ba110, military spouses may be wondering, "What will I wear?" The mess dress and semiformal event calls for participants to come in some of their best dress on Sept. 20 and tickets are going fast.
