SER .'ICE IS OUR MIDDLE NAME SERVICE IS OUR MIDDLE NAME OSC Two Deuces fundraiser March 19 T he Hill Officers' Spouses' Club, a nonprofit private organization, raises funds throughout the year to sponsor welfare projects at Hill Air Force Base and its surrounding communities. The Hill OSC will stage its largest fundraiser of the year, Two Deuces Casino Night, on March 19 at Club Hill. Proceeds from this event will fund scholarships for local military and Department of Defense dependents. Dr. Krista Dana, HOSC Scholarships Coordinator, explains, "This initiative provides tangible recognition of our community's most outstanding students." HOSC scholarships range from $500 to $2,000 and assist high school seniors, continuing students and degree-pursuant military spouses. An applicant must be a dependent of a military member or a dependent of a current active DoD civilian at Hill Air Force Base. Applicants must also possess a cumulative gpa of 3.0 or better, provide ACT or SAT scores, reside in the local area and enroll in an undergraduate or graduate degree program at an accredited college institution in the fall of 2010. The application requires students to submit a short essay. Applications must be postmarked no later than March 15.
