Anderson, Boyer Hill Military Housing property manager, died suddenly April 3 after complaining of leg pains on his lunch break. He was 52. . A graduate of Utah State University, Anderson earned an MBA from 3righam Young University, was a graduate of the Command and General Staff College and earned a second master's degree from the Naval War College. He served as a field artillery officer in the United States Army for 25 years, receiving many awards and commendaAnderson tions. Anderson's career included leadership experiences in numerous locations including Germany, Alaska, Hawaii and the Pentagon where he served as executive officer in the Office of Congressional and Legislative Liaison. He was a survivor of the September 11, 2001, attack on the Pentagon. Anderson retired as a colonel and worked in defense contracting in Washington, D.C., before his position with Boyer Hill Military Housing at Hill Air Force Base. He is survived by his wife, Wendy, and a daughter, Camille. A viewing was held April 8. Memorial services are today in southwest Utah after a viewing from 10:45 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. at the LDS chapel, 2755 W. Old Highway Road, in Enterprise. Mittuch began his career with the Air Force after his graduation from Officer Training School as an air battle manager, serving in the Ground Tactical Air System and Airborne Warning and Control System missions. He became Air Battle manager for the 729th Air Control Squadron at Hill AFB in June 1988. His career then included assignments at Osan Air Base, Korea, and Tinker AFB, Okla. He became a member of the Air Force Reserve in 1996. He was reassigned to Hill AFB in October 2005 as senior individual mobilization augmentee to the director of the 309th Electronics Maintenance Group. Mittuch became the commander of the 419th MXG in February 2007. He is survived by his wife, Cinde, and a brother, Col. Eugene Mittuch, who serves in the Air Force.
