The Youth Center is open for teens only, ages 13-18, on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.*Teens can play pickup basketball games, video games, pool, sports, lift weights, and watch movies on our big screen TV. . • Keystone Club | meeting every Thursday. Open to ages 13-18, this club meets from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. Voice your ideas for activities, events, and field trips offered at the Youth Center. • Torch Club meeting every Friday. Open to ages 9-13, this club meets from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. Voice your ideas for activities, events, and field trips offered at the Youth Center. • Laser Tag, Dec. 7. Play the coolest system in laser tag from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The game is played like paintball but without the pain and the stain. Cost is $5 per person. • Give Parents a Break/Give Kids a Break, 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., Dec. 8. Give Parents A Break is free child care for active duty families that have a family member deployed and requires a referral from the Airman & Family Readiness Center and AF Form 1181. The Child Development Center cares for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years and the Youth Center cares for children kindergarten to 12 years. This activity is held the second Saturday of each month with alternating times. Please register before Dec. 5. If space is available, GPAB will accommodate individuals without a referral. The fee without a referral is $25 with a completed AF Form 1181. • Family Bingo, 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., Dec. 14. Cost is $6 per person. There are a total of 15 games and a ticket for door prizes. Daubers are available for $1.50 in a variety of colors. The doors open at 5:30 p.m. for game card purchases. • Holiday Semiformal Dance and Party, 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Dec. 21. The Keystone Club is hosting this event for youth ages 6-18. Cost is $6 per person. Photos will be available for purchase, and refreshments will be served. Youth Center dress Hill Fitness and Wellness Center • New: Learn Salsa Dancing, 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. every Wednesday. Cost is $8 per class. No partner required. • New: Mommy and Me Yoga Class, 9 a.m. every Wednesday for moms and dads and newborn infants up to 18 months old. Cost is $10 per 35 to 45 minute class. • New: Prenatal / Postpartum Yoga Class, 10 a.m. Wednesdays. Cost is $10 per class 45 to 60 minute class. • Hill Martial Arts Academy Taekwondo Let the Sunshine in! Classes are Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. for children and 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. for adults. Master Eddie Porter offers self-defense classes every Tuesday and Thursday evening in Building 520 (old fitness center). • Youth Employment Skills Program (YES). This is an on-base volunteer program for high school students and is being offered at select Air Force bases. YES allows students to "bank" $4 in grant fund-ing for every hour volunteered in an on-base organizations. Child Care in Base Housing Licensing Requirement: In accordance with AFI 34-276, Family Child Care Programs, chapter 1, paragraph 1,3 and 1.4.3, "Any individual caring for other families' children a total of 10 hours per week on a regular basis must be licensed to provide care in on-base quarters." Penalty for violation of this 10 hour per week rule is, "The support group commander may revoke the housing privileges of individuals who provide child care and refuse to become licensed or who continue to provide care after their license has been suspended or revoked."
