The Youth Center is open for teens only, ages 13-18, on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 6-8 p.m. Teens can play pickup basketball games, video sanies, pool, and walch movies on a big screen T.V. EVERY TUESDAY TORCH CLUB MEETING. Open to ages 9-13, this club meets every Tuesday from 4-f> p.m. (let involved and voice your ideas for activities, events, and field trips offered at the Youth Center. EVERY THURSDAY KEYSTONE CLUB MEETING. Open to ages 13-18, this club meets every Thursday from 5-6 p.m. Get involved and voice your ideas for activities,.events, and field trips offered at the Youth Center. DEC. 1 PRETEEN HANG OUT. Keystone Club is hosting this event from 6-9 p.m. This evening's activities will include Karaoke, video game tournaments, and movies. Cost is $M for members. $4 for members without their membership card, and $5 for nonmembers, DEC. 8 FAMILY BINGO. From 6-9 p.m., cost is $5 for members (show your membership card and receive $1 off) and $6 for nonmembers. There are a lota! of 15 games along with a ticket for two door prize drawings. Parents and adults may only purchase as many game cards for themsrlves as they purchase for their children. Daubers are available for $1.50 in a variety of colors. The doors open at 5:30 p.m. for game card purchases. DEC. 9 RED CROSS BABYSITTING CLASS. This class is held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for ages 11-18. Cost is $25 per student and includes a book and Red Cross Certification. Students will learn basic first aid, diapering, age-appropriate games and supervision of children. Upon completion, students will have the opportunity to place their names on the Youth Programs Babysitting Referral List. DEC. 22 SKATE NIGHT. Preteens and Teens are welcome to skate in the gymnasium from 6-9 p.m. Ages 6-8 must be accompanied by an adult. DEC. 9 GIVE PARENTS A BREAK/GIVE KIDS A BREAK. From 5-9 p.m. (Jive Parents A Break is free child care for active duly families and requires a referral and AF Form 1181. The Child Development Center takes kids ages 6 weeks-5 years and the Youth Center lakes kids ages 6-12 years. Referrals are obtained at the Family Support Center. Give Kids A Break is $15 for members and $25 for nonmembers, with a completed AF Form 1181, and does not require a referral (if space is available). Register by Dec. 6. DEC. 15 PRETEEN CHRISTMAS SEMI-FORMAL DANCE. Keystone Club is hosting this dance from 6-9 p.m. for ages 6 - 12. Join your friends; cosl is $3 for members and $4 for members without their membership card and $5 for nonmembers. For a minimal fee. the Torch Club and Keystone Club will be available to take photos individuals and their friends. Youth Center dress code applies; no midriff or spaghetti straps. TAE KWON DO LESSONS. Are held Tuesday and Thursday evenings for all levels. Stop by and talk with the instructor, Ben Little, or call the Youth Center, DEC. 29 PRETEEN & TEEN MOVIE NIGHT. Youth ages 6-18 are invited to watch two new release movies in the gym. All movies shown are rated G or PG. The movie selections will be announced by Wednesday, Dec. 27. Cost is $4 for members, $5 for members without their membership card, and $6 for nonmembers and includes fresh popcorn and a drink. POWER HOUR. Power Hour is back for the school year. Join us Monday through Thursday from 3:45-4:45 p.m. in the Homework Lab. Youth are provided a room free of noise to complete homework and other school projects. Receive 15 Power Hour Points a month and have a Pizza Parly the last Friday of each month. FIT FACTOR. Get up, Gel out. Get fit. Farti points and prizes through this computer based interactive program. Receive up to 100 points a day for doing every day activities like basketball, fooseball and washing dishes. DEC. 25 THE YOUTH CENTER WILL BE CLOSED IN FOR CHRISTMAS. DEC. 31 NEW YEAR'S EVE LOCK IN. The Youth Center is hosting a Lock In for ages 9-18 beginning at 8:30 p.m. on Sunday night until 8:30 a.m. on Monday morning. Cost is SIS for members and $20 for nonmembers and includes din. ner, snacks, a hot breakfast, and activities to entertain you into the early hours of the New Year! Bring your sleeping bag and overnight necessities. Appropriate dress is required. A minimum of 12 participants are required for this event. INSTRUCTIONAL CLASSES. Instructional Classes are provided for youth ages 5 and older. Classes are $30 for members and $40 for nonmembers. YOUTH EMPLOYMENT SKILLS PROGRAM (YES). The Youtli Employment Skills Program is an on-base volunteer program for high school students and is being offered at select Air Force bases. This program, underwritten by the Air Force Aid Society, is a joint effort between AFAS and Air Force Services to offer high school students an opportunity to learn valuable work skills, "bank" dollar credits toward their post-secondary education, and have a positive impact on their base community. YES allows students to "bank" $4 in grant funding for every hour volunteered in an on-base organizations. For more information call the Youth Center at 777-2419.
