Show TIMES November 2, 2006 NEWS BRIEFS • Logistics Officer Association event • Asian American Pacific Islander Committee The Wasatch Warriors Chapter of the Logistics Officer Association plans their next meeting TUesday at 11:30 a.m. in the Club Hill Ballroom. Maj. Gen. Arthur Morrill, from Headquarters Air Force Materiel Command, will be the guest speaker. Aspecial award ceremony is also planned to honor one of the chapter members. The Hill Asian American Pacific Islander Committee will meet Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. in the E Conference Room at Club Hill. Election of officers for the new year will be discussed. All are invited. Lee at 586-7842. • Enlisted Spouses Club The Hill Enlisted Spouses Club will hold its monthly meeting Nov. 13 in the Chief's Room at Club Hill. The meet 'n greet will begin at 5 p.m. and will be immediately followed by the general meeting at 5:15 p.m. This month the group plans to play Bunco and those interested in playing and being part of the gift exchange, should bring a $5 wrapped gift so that all players leave with a prize. The HESC membership is open to all enlisted active-duty members and/or their spouses, any adult member of a household (other than a spouse) of an active duty member who holds a valid ID card, all spouses of GS-8 and below working at Hill, and honorary members. Individuals are asked to do a thorough job of separating recyclable materials and placing everything in the appropriate dumpster. For more information, call maintenance engineering at 777-6779. • Open season begins to change health benefits Open season for federal employees to change health insurance providers and plans runs Nov. 13Dec. 11. A health fair is planned at the Family Support Center (Bldg. 150) Nov. 6-8 and Dec. 4-6, between the hours of 8 a.m.-noon and 1-4 p.m. For more information about the open season schedule, the health fair or obtaining a brochure, contact Pat Nugent at 586-6472. For more information, contact Don Corbeil at 777-2088. • Clinic plans closures The 75th Medical Group will be closed in observance of the following events/holidays: Nov. 9 for Wingman Day, Nov. 10 for Veteran's Day, Nov. 23 for Thanksgiving and Nov. 24 for Family Day. • Power outages The 75th Civil Engineer Squadron electrical shop will conduct a power outage Sunday from noon4 p.m. to test breakers at Substation l.The buildings that will be affected include: 150, 680-Ncw Hanger, 680-New Hanger, 708, 710, 717, 720, 723, 727, 732, 741, 743, 744, 749, 752. 753, 754, 757. 758, 759, 760. 762. 771, 773, 774, 776, 777, 778, 779. 782, 783, 788, 798, 799, well, 10779, NAVID, 10758 RADOME, and the BORTAarea. Another power outage is also planned Sunday from 8 a.m.-noon to lest breakers at Substation 5.
