Market Race Dr. 593-0433 621-7000 The National World War II Memorial is a long overdue tribute to the individual Americans who helped win World War II, the largest war of all time and the defining event of the 20th century. The memorial honors the veterans who bravely fought to defend freedom, those on the home front who contributed to the war effort, and the high moral purpose that motivated the nation's call to arms. Never before or since has our country shared such a common bond of purpose and determination. This will be the first national memorial acknowledging the commitment and achievement of this entire nation. The World War II Registry of Remembrances will list the names of individual Americans who participated in • the war effort, to be recorded for all time in the annals of history for public display in Washington D.C. Future generations will always remember the sacrifices of America's WWII generation. There were 18 million Americans who participated in the war effort. It would be impossible to carve that many names into the walls. There will be touch screen monitors throughout the War Memorial that anyone can access. Who is eligible for the Registry of Remembrances? Anyone who served in the armed forces in World War II, and any civilian who helped on the home front is eligible for the Registry. Home front related industries, recycling materials needed for the war effort and more. No names are automatically applied. You must register your own name or that of a family member or friend to be remembered in this registry. Leavitt's Mortuary Aultorest Memorial Park has decided to register as many veterans as we can from the surrounding communities. The information for the Registry may be completed by stopping in at Leavitt's in Ogden. The funeral home's staff will assist in the registry forms and mail the information to Washington D.C. to honor those who served our country. If you have any further questions, please contact Leavitt's Mortuary at (801) 394-5556. 836 36Ih Street, Ogden, Utah 330369 03-3*05 621-5331 , 860 W. Rlverdale Rd., Ogden g 4290 S.
