I'll give it a couple of years tops" Movietown's faith in marriage has always ten pretty slim When two young stars Natalie Wood and R J Wagner got married less than a year ago and went to live on a boat 30 miles from Hollywood they got the usual treatment But these youngsters are determined to make a success of their marriage and even have a blueprint for it When you consider the odds they've got problems ahead of them They are both top stars She's No 3 on most movie popularity polls and he's in the first ten They are both young — she's 20 tmd he's 28 It's a first marriage far both and they plan to continue with their careers Given these facts anyone familiar with Hollywood marriage statistics would take a dim view of their chances of sticking together The Wagners dated for a full year before getting married and in that time because they have grown up in the fihn colony tried to prepare for the problems they were sure would come ' The Biggest Danger - -- - -' i I i ' - - ' They feel one of the biggest problems facing young married couples with individual careers is a tendency to grow apart "This usually comes from being separated for long periods of lime" said Natalie "We got married to be together We've seen too often what happens when people are parted for just a little while It's a big danger so why take the chance?
