Show IN EAST TINTIC the extreme eastern part of the tintic district presents a very busy ap pea ance these day da a and it should not be many months before thia this sec see tion can boast of some producing mines over at the ralph property the new ore house has just been completed when a reporter representative visit ed this property on tuesday the carpenters were putting the finishing touches upon this building in the drift from the foot lev el the timers are still breaking down ore and al ready a few tons have been hoisted the ore is a steel galena and beats anything in the line of lead that has ever mier been mined in tintic gintic some of it going 0 on er 80 per cent this ground produced some good lead ore may many years ago when it was worked only to a depth of about eighty feet for about seven y ears lit the e ground has been teed up by wand atit is only recently that fhe the case w m as settled manager ralph bellog expects to get out a shipment of ore at an early date less than a hundred yards from the chajt shaft upon the ralph property are the workings of the provo mining corn com pany this ground adjoins the ralph apon the north and drifting upon the foot level is now being done by walter lott will leavitt and bert bowen the fhe drift is headed toward the east and it is thought that the ralph ore body willbe will be cut w ishm the next thirty five feet the shareholders of the provo mm min ing company are confident that they will tap this ore body and if they are successful the ralph will mill not be the only shipper in that section whims are in use at both the ralph and provo mining company s properties but it will only be a question of time until machinery is installed at the tintic gintic standard which is to the southeast south east of the ralph two shifts are kept continuously at v mork ork at present drifting is under w m ay on the level but u we e understand that the management intends to sink the shaft to greater depth rhe property is equipped with a small engine blacksmith shop houses for the men employed etc and from the manner in which the development work is be ing handled it can readily be seen that E J and his assoc ates have implicit faith in this section of the district at the big hill property drifting is now going on from the foot level jenel and supt bupt olson states that the indi are most encouraging at this time john Best lemeyer the veteran prospector of the eastside east side together with his son are now engaging in do ing the ases assessment work mork upon the horseshoe claim they are also pro pre paring to patent several claims in the same locality mr Best leme er has disposed of some of his mining proper ty but still has several very promising groups of claims T G wimmer and R S wimmer of the company here from salt lake on sunday and made a trip to the mine for the purpose of in specking spec ting the new strike made a short time ago in the main drift from the level the is showing i p splendidly and there has been a marl mark ed improvement at the piol erty with in the last few fem w meeks I 1 james mcpherson has received re turns from his carload of concentrates shipped from the cump ump the returns N were nere ere satisfactory except as to the gold values which failed to come anywhere near the assay assays s made by local assay assa ers |
