L©hi - Wednesday December 6 2000 - Page 10 continued from front page Virginia Johnson assistant superintendent over high schools and John Childs assistant superintendent over junior high schools out lined immediate and projected needs through the years 2005-200- 6 Immediate needs include: one new trailer at Legacy and at Shelley Elementary Schools in American Fork this fall two trailers at Sego at Snow at Lehi and two at Lily nine trailers one Springs Elementary Eaglecrest in Lehi and three trailers at Cedar Ridge and one at Westfield in the Lone Peak area just to meet current needs Reid said Childs said in the junior area projections high include the moving of two from classes Summit American Fork Junior High School the placement of a satellite unit of and the remodeling of a trailer-danc- e room at Lehi Junior High and one trailer placed at Mountain Ridge Junior High The biggest change for school year in the the high scheol area will be a boundary change which will move approximately 300 students from Lone Peak 12-roo- and Pleasant Grove High Schools to American Fork High School Johnson said Pleasant Grove High School is projected to need the addition of two new trailers if the boundary change isn’t made At Lehi High School the parking lot need to be redesigned with parking added east and south of the tennis courts A new Alternative Godwin schedule out with her children on excursions every once in awhile Kalin and Madison also get to visit grandparents and aunts occasionally Two LDS ward members and Jennie’s mother come every Sunday morning to help get the babies ready for church at 9 am And the ward has four members who take “their" baby each week at church so the couple can have some time together with other adults at their meetings “Ward members have been wonderful to help” Jennie said “We took them to a ward party and it’s not like we’re a family with six kids If someone sees a baby they come get a baby We are not alone” The morning routine after breakfast is routine Mykala McKenna Jordyn and Jade are cleaned up dressed and given a bottle By the time everyone is taken care of it is nap time for the quads and some time for Kalin and Maddy On alternating days the older duo go to their aunt’s preschool Candy Cane Lane So each has time with mom during the babies’ midday snooze By 2 pm the sisters are awake again and ready to play Kalin and Maddy help with the play and are good about caring for them Kalin loves doing tickle bugs and throws balls for them states his mom Maddy is the performer of the family and wall sing songs and dance for the quadruplets They are old enough they can get things for their mother and one-on-o- Maddy can even take the clothes out of the dryer when asked At first Jennie admits there was sibling jealousy but now Kalin and Maddy love and adore all of them With all this help this is not to say it is easy The babies still go through quite a few diapers a week 140 down 70 diapers from when they first came home They drink 84 bottles a week as apposed to 168 bottles 10 months ago ’The babies hold their own bottles now so bottle time is self managed where at the beginning it took a two person team 1 Vi hours to bottle feed the new- - boms They also are on baby for awhile each baby eats two jars’ full at one setting and as a group they go through 112 jars a week Still as toddlers the babies have become somewhat easier to manage “It is to where I totally can take care of them during the day but I don’t feel alone There is always someone I can call” Jennie said Michael is able to come home by 4:30 p m and starts right in helping with the babies And while Jennie gets the them ready for bed Michael begins nightly rouKalin tine with and Madison “Bath time is so hilarious” Jennie said “I’ve decided we need to bathe one at a time because they can turn on me It gets crazy they like to go as a pack at night They like to be in on the action” After the evening entertainment and drying everyone off the babies are dressed and given their last bottle of the day and tucked in for the night after they ane done Now it is Kalin and food Sisters Jordyn is a mama’s girl according to Jennie She is crawling and likes to bounce Jordyn has the more mellow personality of the four She has blond hair and blue eyes Includes Clear SV Lenses Lined FT Bifocals is the largest baby and is the calm content personality She can sit for long periods and play with toys Jade has dark curly hair and her eyes are going dark turn to have some Maddy’s time with mom and dad and two hours later it is their bed time Ideally by 9 pm all is quiet in the Godwin household for the next 10 hours or 7 JL am It is a time when the - $30 more Contacts wm‘ Tear Supply (12 pair) parents have a few minutes to reflect on the day “It’s crazy hectic” Jennie said “But it’s been good it’s Hurry use your flex spendingcafeteria plans before Dec 31!
