MARY DUREN: I love to outdoors the rain I the rain like to walk in the rain to sit indoors listening the rain I like fishing in in go love I or to the rain like to play my guitar I also spend time talking to my child I $UiU n SlHtor Exception taken to article Dear Editor: Let me preface this letter by saying that I do not have a child that was eligible attend conventions either of these feel that I must take exception to an article printed last week in your paper In all the years that the boys in this town have attended Boy's State the firemen have made the selection of who In your article would attend you stated that the boys with the highest grade points as well as leadership ability are I for reading to go out in the rain 1 hate think I where it isn't raining to represent the school Why is it that the boys who attended this year are not in the top ten percent of their class academically? I realize that only the sons of firemen are eligible for this "honor" but can't we at least send our school leaders to the convention? The girls on the other hand all were in the top percentage of the class as well as being leaders They also paid there own way to Cedar City and It paid their own tuition seems to me that the boys should meet the same criteria that the girls met It should only be fair that the girls should be given the same opportunity to attend and why doesn't the fire department offer to help the girls as well as the boys or better yet why not go back to the school and let the chosen MARIE HIGLEY: Oh boy stay in the house and bake and clean Like to You can't get outside sew I'd rather be gardening and doing my yard work but it's rotten outside guess just watching some good old television Or you could on vacation somewhere go the Te to excuse BRIAN JOHNSON: Oh gee let me CHRIS CHURCH: Reading!
