Show COMMUNITY EDUCATION by Jennifer Bailey 750 West 355-8662; 1st North, Jefferson, 1071 Centers Offer Senior Citizen PARK WAYS -- The Community Education Centers at Oquirrh, Jackson and Jefferson schools are now in operation. Courses are offered for high school credit and also special interest subjects are available. The classes offered are: Typing | and 1 Shorthand | and I History. — American and World Black History. Literature English as a second language GED preparation Spelling Reading , Algebra Nutrition Arts and Crafts Psychology Other courses can be arranged to fit special needs. There is no charge for taking the classes and all textbooks are provided free of charge. It is still not too late to enroll for the fall semester. If you have children and no one to babysit, bring them along. There is a child care service. Also, if you can teach any skill or subject and would like to volunteer some of your time to teach, please contact the center nearest you. Each center is open from 3 to 10, Monday through Friday.
