Obituaries Susan Hannah Huit Tribe HUNTSVILLE - On Friday, October 25, 2002, Susan Hannah Huit (Taylor) Tribe, returned to her heavenly home at the age of 95, to be greeted by her eternal companion and loved ones. “Grandma Susie” (as she was lovingly known by her family) was born on May 15, 1907 in Plain City, Utah, to Isaac Edmund Huit and Eliza Hannah Taylor. She had a happy childhood growing up on farms in Plain City and Ola, Idaho, and learned to work hard and play with her many cousins and friends. After her father died leaving a large family, her Uncle Elmer and Aunt Olive Taylor raised her. She loved the Taylor families very much. She married Wesley James Tribe in the Salt Lake Temple on August 20, 1930. They lived in Ogden until moving to Westwood, Lasson County, California, during the depression where Wes had found work. They loved the mountains there where many friends and family members also found work. She was very talented and loved to do crafts and needlework, and she shared her cooking with family, friends and ward members. She was an active member of the LDS Church, DUP and Family Home Evening Group, serving in many positions. She loved and was grateful for all the beauties of this earth sharing that love with family and friends when camping and fishing.
