It will be rebuilt at considerable expense. Weber County Commissioners Bischoff, Burton and Cain have appointed two new Weber County Township Planning Commissioners. The two newest members were appointed at a County Commission meeting held on July 20. Two vacancies came open after Sandra Tuck of Nordic Valley became ineligible to continue serving on Weber County’s Commission after the NordicLiberty Township Planning Commission was recently formed, and, in a surprise move, the County Commissioners failed to renew Eden resident Haynes Fuller’s closing three year term, notifying him about their decision only hours before the new appointments were made. Mr. Fuller has served on the Weber County Planning Commission for 27 years. The two new vacancies will be filled by newly appointed Valley residents Verl Creager and Sharon Holmstrom, both of Eden. Additional vacancies on the Weber County Township Planning Commission are expected. Current Planning Commissioner Dale Campbell, resident of Ogden Canyon, is moving out of the County, and another two members of the current Planning Commission reside in the Taylor area, where another proposed Township Planning Commission is expected to pass after a slated public hearing. The seven member Weber County Township Planning Commission, formerly called the Weber County Planning Commission, makes recommendations to the Weber County Commissioners regarding planning and zoning issues and petitions that fall within the unincorporated County’s jurisdiction. On another meeting held July 22, Commissioners also appointed and confirmed the seven members of the newly formed Nordic-Liberty Township Planning Commission. The Planning Commission has three representatives from Nordic Valley; Dennis Smith, Richard Schneider, and Brent Seppich. Liberty’s representatives are Stephen Young, Dave Morby and Roger Richins. Cindy Beger, who was elected by the six representatives, will represent both Nordic and Liberty.
