Show Page 6 The Ogden Valley news Volume XXIII Issue XVIII March 1, 2016 Announcements Obituaries Patricia (Van Camp) Endow November 1, 1947 ~ February 12, 2016 Patricia “Patsy” (Van Camp) Endow passed away from natural causes, on Friday, February 12, 2016 in Eden, Utah. She Patricia Endow was born on November 1, 1947 to Della and Don Van Camp in Brownsville, Texas. She went to school in Mankato, Minnesota and her family moved to Utah in 1967. Patsy married Henry Shinji Endow on February 14, 1969. They had two children and later divorced. Audrey Van Pelt Fuller Combe September 20, 1930 ~ February 18, 2016 Audrey was born in Keansburg, New Jersey. She entered peacefully into rest on February 18, 2016 at her home in Saint George, Utah. Audrey was the fifth Audrey Combe of ten children. She was raised in New Egypt, New Jersey with four of her siblings on a poultry farm by her foster mother Miss Barbara Dietz. After High School, Audrey worked at a law firm as a secretary. She soon became employed by the United States Air Force where she met her first love, Otis Kay Fuller from Ogden, Utah. They married in 1951 and raised three beautiful children: Gregory, Pamela, and Jeffery. Audrey and Kay divorced 27 years later. Audrey then met Archie Frank Combe, her second love, while working at Hill Air Force Base in Clearfield, Utah. They were married in 1979. Archie brought four children into the family. They were very much in love. Archie passed away in 2010. Audrey spent her entire life helping and being of service to others. For many years she served as a Pink Lady and Candy Striper at different hospitals and health facilities. Audrey was always at the neighbors and family members’ homes helping with whatever they needed. Her constant love for others was second to none. Audrey cherished her children, loved life, was blessed with a beautiful voice, loved to sing, had a passion for gardening, and enjoyed While in Utah, Patsy worked ski patrol for Nordic Valley, was a hairdresser, and worked for the Internal Revenue Service. Patsy was an avid photographer and painter. She enjoyed being outside—water skiing, boating and camping. She also enjoyed her time in church celebrating her faith. Patsy loved being with family and friends; she was generous with her time and a trusting soul. Patsy is survived by her daughter, Aiko Wynn; her brother, Don Van Camp; and sisters, Mary Grimes and Dolly Moriarty. She was preceded in death by her parents and loving son, Marcus Tomio Endow. Her favorite hobby was crocheting. Audrey’s last and favorite job was at Lindquist Mortuary. She had the magic touch for comforting people. She was a delightful woman, loved by many and will be dearly missed. Audrey is survived by her son, Gregory Otis (Donna) Fuller of Clayton, California; her daughter, Pamela (Robert) Murray of Washington, Utah; stepchildren, Tawnya Combe of California, April Combe of Ogden, Utah, and A. Bob Combe of Maryland; nine grandchildren and twenty-two great-grandchildren; sisters Rita Sellitti of Pennsylvania and Betty Gassert of New Jersey; and nieces, nephews, and many friends. Audrey was preceded in death by her foster mother, Miss Barbara Dietz; husband, Archie Combe; son, Jeffery E. Fuller; stepson, Bruce Combe; wife, Carol and son, and seven siblings. Funeral services were held at Leavitt’s Mortuary, 836 36th St., Ogden, Utah on Saturday, February 27, 2016. Interment followed at Ben Lomond Cemetery in N. Ogden, Utah. Please send condolences to the family at <www.leavittsmortuary.com> Kenneth Llewellyn Palmer September 5, 1926 ~ February 12, 2016 “Together Again” Kenneth Palmer Kenneth Llewellyn Palmer, 89, of Ogden passed away February 12, 2016. He was born September 5, 1926 in Ogden, the second son of Russell Anderson and Fay Thomas Palmer. He was raised in the Ogden area and graduated from Ogden High School in 1944. He served in the Navy during World War II and was honorably discharged. Ken married Lois Jackson October 14, 1950. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple on March 8, 1952. Together they raised five wonderful children. He cared for Lois tirelessly during her long illness. John Howard Stahle July 28, 1925 ~ February 10, 2016 Our dear kind, gentle father, John Howard Stahle, 90, died February 10, 2016. He was born July 28, 1925 in Bountiful, Utah to John John Stahle Stahle and Lydia Lucile Schulthies. Howard married Betty Goodfellow in 1945 and was later divorced. He married Bonnie Olsen December 15, 1967. Together they raised nine children. Howard was a hard worker. He worked side by side with his sweetheart until he was 88 years old. He spent his early years as a sheepherder before joining the U.S. Navy and serving in World War II. He served aboard Gwenn Anderson, 71, died February 9, 2016. the U.S.S. Barnstable, a Bayfield class attack Jolene Holmes Geilman Wood, 78, died transport serving in the Pacific theater. After February 13, 2016. the war, Howard became a linotype operator George Whiting, 79, died February 14, 2016. for the Salt Lake Tribune. Susan Kay Meyerhoffer Sebranek, 54, died Newspapering became his passion. He February 17, 2016. owned several newspapers, including the Roy Vernon Edwin Hoffenbeck, 86, died February Sun Chronicle, The Newspaper in Park City, 20, 2016. Craig Allen Malone, 71, died February 22, 2016. Don Lee Gibson, 70, died February 23, 2016. Deceased Ken began his career in the flour milling industry at Sperry Flour and Feed in 1946 and retired from Pillsbury in 1983. He also served with the Ogden Police Department. Ken was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was very loving and supportive of his wife and children. He enjoyed fishing, camping, gardening, and family get-togethers. Ken is survived by his children and their spouses: two daughters and three sons, Marie (Blaine) Williams, Roy; Karen (Brian) Belnap, Liberty; Steve (Kathy) Palmer, S. Ogden; Bruce (Susan) Palmer, Vista, CA; and Owen Palmer, S. Ogden; 16 grandchildren and 19 greatgrandchildren; brother-in-law Reid Jackson, Jackson, WY; and sister-in-law Ruth (Bill) Duke, Roy; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, two brothers, and a granddaughter, Dawn Marie Williams. Funeral services were held Tuesday, February 16 at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Interment, Logan City Cemetery. In 1987 he was recognized by the Utah Press Association with its high honor of Master Editor and Publisher Award. Howard Served as the President of the Association in 1972. Being a newspaper publisher was his passion. His greatest love was his family, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and serving the community through the newspaper industry. He is survived by his children Sharon Stahle Howes; Craig (Shelly) Stahle; Corey (Cheryl) Stahle; Jeff (Lynne) Stahle; LuAnne Stahle Lewis; Glen (Peggy) Adams; Tracie (Kirt) Bailey; Steffnie (Randy) Shepherd; Mont (Elaine) Adams: 42 grandchildren, 79 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; and three brothers. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, a sister, and by his wife Bonnie Merlene Olsen Stahle. Funeral services were held February 19 at the Canyon Estates Ward, 965 E. Oakwood Dr., Bountiful, Utah. Interment at the Bountiful City Cemetery. The family wishes to thank all who assisted our Dad in his final days, especially S. Ogden Post Acute and the staff at Davis Hospital.
