Show Volume XX Issue VII The Ogden Valley news Page 5 May 1, 2012 Fifth Annual Ogden Valley Farmers/ Fourth Annual Snowcrest Relay Artists Market to Open June 2 Powered by Ragnar—A fun family event! Straight From the Gardens of Ogden Valley Summer season 2012 will mark the fifth for the Ogden Valley Farmers/Artists Market. This year, we have a new location, 2405 N Highway 158 in Eden in the Century 21 parking lot area. Organizer Linda Knudtson states, “I want to welcome you to participate in the 2012 Ogden Valley Farmers & Artists Market. This is our 5th season. This year’s market will provide fresh produce, artist wares, live music, and fun activities for both kids and adults, and, in addition, will help support our local charities. I want to get the word out early this year. This year the market will open Saturday, June 2. The market will run throughout the season on Saturday s from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. A meeting and potluck lunch has been scheduled at the new location for potential booth operators. It will be held May 5, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. Participants, or potential participants, whose last name begins with letters A-L, please bring either a salad or main dish to share. Names beginning with M-Z, please bring a dessert. Knudtson adds, “I am really excited about this new location. It has better curbside appeal—right on the beaten path into Eden, and an asphalt, instead of dirt, surface. At the meeting, participants will learn where their booth will be placed on the event map. This will be the operators’ permanent location for the season. “For the 2012 season, I have received a large increase in interest by the community. Our goal is to have 40 booths and 1,000 attendees per market day. To achieve this goal, I have increased marketing efforts that include: • News worthy events • An increased internet presence • Press releases to all local media • Food drives for local charities • Increased ad placements • Increased flyer placements • E-blasts to the local and surrounding communities Applications for booths are available at the Century 21 Realty, Valley Market, Mad Moose Cafe, and Huntsville Post Office. These forms must be submitted by June 1, 2012.
