Show Volume XVII Issue XXIII The Ogden Valley news Page May 15, 2010 Announcements Obituaries Robert Lloyd Hansen Robert Lloyd Hansen, age 74, died April 23, 2010 in St. George, Utah. He was born February 20, 1936 in Brigham City, Utah to Willis and Irene Hansen. He married Elaine Burt in the Logan May 26, 1954. Robert Hansen temple He was raised in Brigham City and graduated from Box Elder High in 1954. He attended Utah State University and graduated in 1958. Robert became a woodshop teacher at Ben Lomond High School where he taught for 30 years. He joined the National Guard and retired a full Colonel. He created several different businesses, including F & H Fiberglass with Chow Felix in Ogden. After retiring, he moved to Island Park, Idaho and started Aspen Grove Furnishings where he built custom log furniture. He was a master craftsman and created many beautiful things from wood. Not only did he teach his Lynette Loveland Denning Devoted wife and mother Lynette Loveland Denning passed away suddenly Saturday, May 1, 2010. Lynette was born in Provo, Utah on October 22, 1958. Lynette married K. Bruce Denning on January 1997. They were sealed Lynette Denning 8, in the Draper LDS Temple on April 11, 2009. She attended schools in Kaysville, Utah and graduated from Herndon High School in Virginia. Lynette started her career in the Communicative Disorders Division at Utah State University as a secretary for 10 years. For the past 14 years, she worked as an administrator for Ferrari Color in Salt Lake City. She loved children and showed it by serving in many Primary callings. She owned and operated the children’s performing group Sunshine Generation of South Jordan. Lynette was an excellent aerobics instructor for the past 30 years at various gyms. Everyone who knew Lynette loved her. She was passionate about life and always exuded a positive, cheerful, and bubbly attitude, and was a joy to be around. She possessed many talents and was never a complainer. There was never a more compassionate or loving person than our beautiful Lynette. Lynette is a faithful and devoted member of the LDS Church and served in many callings during her lifetime. Lynette is survived by her husband, K. Bruce Denning, her parents Emerson and Helen Loveland (South Jordan), son Chris (Sarah) Crookston, daughter, Danielle Crookston, stepchildren Jeremy (Shiloh), Nikki, and Dusty Denning, 5 grandsons, and 2 granddaughters. She is survived by her brother Michael students, he also passed on his great talent to each of his sons. He enjoyed fishing, being outdoors, and spending time in the shop with his friends. He was a master Hand and Foot player and was a lifelong member of the International Hand and Foot Association. His favorite thing in life was spending time with his family. He and Elaine went on many wonderful trips and enjoyed spending time with their friends from Island Park and St. George. He is survived by his loving wife Elaine, daughter Peggy (Dave) Barfuss, Roy; sons Mike (Lisa) Hansen, Eden; Quinn (Kris) Hansen, North Ogden; and Reid (Judy) Hansen, North Ogden. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and two more on the way. Brother Reid (Dalene) Hansen St. George, sisters Dorothy (Frank) Nielson St. George, and Marilyn (Larry) Shulsen, West Jordan. Funeral services were held Tuesday, April, 27, 2010 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints, located at 900 S. River Road. Aus Montgomery I was born in Liberty, Utah on November 29, 1931 to the best father, John Alva, and the most kind-hearted mother, Mary Elizabeth Holmes Montgomery. I died May 3, 2010. I had two brothers and three sisters. I was Aus Montgomery reared on the family farm where I helped my dad with milking the cows and other farm work. I was able to grow and play in the freedom that the Valley gave me. When I was a young man, I met and married Gay Ruth Welker whom I later divorced. We built our home in Liberty where we raised eight children: Judy (Farley) Quist, Audrey (Rod) Carver, John Montgomery, Jami (Brad) Willson, Kati (Jim) McCann, Josh (Michelle) Montgomery, Beau (LeeAnn) Montgomery, and Will Montgomery. I have twenty-eight grandchildren and thirty-three great grandchildren. I was preceded in death by three grandchildren. I worked at Swift and Co. and McKay Dee Loveland (Roy); sisters Jenny Sawyer (Round hospital as a maintenance engineer. I also Rock, Texas), Aleta Keddington (South Jordan), worked in various other places where I honed Allyson Johnston (Holladay), and Giselle Loveland (Huntsville). I have fond memories of hunting and having fun with them. I enjoyed watching my horses in the field. I loved the visits and phone calls I have received throughout my life. I never strayed too far from Liberty. In my last days I longed to go home and be with my pup. I leave you with a couple of thoughts, love each other, and count your blessings.
