Karen was born in Logan, Utah on March 14, 1949 a daughter of Paul H. and Joyce N. Nielsen. Karen Sowers She lived in Hyrum, Salt Lake, Eden, and Ogden. Karen graduated from Sky View High School and attended Utah State University. She was a member of the LDS Church. Janice McKay Davis Janice McKay Davis, 85, passed away peacefully on February 26, 2009 with her husband of 60 years by her side. She was born January 17, 1924 in Huntsville, Utah to Ernest Raphael and Mary Ellen Wilson McKay. She married Dr. Janice Davis Jack J. Davis on June 13, 1949 in the Salt Lake Temple. Janice grew up in Huntsville, attending Valley School and graduating from Weber High School in 1942. She served as a stewardess for United Airlines, earned a Bachelor’s Degree in textiles from the University of Utah, and taught sewing and English at South Washington Jr. High School. She was affiliated with Delta Delta Delta sorority at the University of Utah and Otyokwa sorority at Weber College. Janice was a member of the LDS church and served in Stake and Ward Relief Society and Primary presidencies. She lived most of her married life in Salt Lake City before returning to her childhood home in Huntsville. She also resided in San Jose, CA, San Antonio, TX, and Fort Smith, AR. Janice enjoyed traveling with her husband to his medical conventions, during which time they visited nearly every state in the U.S. Janice was a wonderful homemaker and put her many artistic talents into providing a loving and beautiful home for her family. She was a superb cook and hostess, and enjoyed gathering family and friends at her home for her excellent dinners. She was very gifted with plants and flowers, which she cultivated in her beautiful yard and arranged with great skill for her home. She was an outstanding seamstress and clothing designer. She could alter any pattern or garment and took much pride in sewing clothing for her children and herself. She was active in community and school organizations, and never failed to lend a hand to those in need of her help. She provided a Karen enjoyed taking photos, walking, the Army.
