Smokey enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling, working with his hands, and, most of all, spending time with his family who will truly miss his Saturday barbecues and Sunday pancake breakfasts. urviving are one son and three daughters: Lee (Linda) Child, North Ogden; Connie (Ian) Renton, Casper, WY; Joan (Rodney) Dangerfield, Beverly Hills, CA; Londy Child, Harrisville; six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and his fiancé Kay Nebeker. Also surviving are three sisters: Margaret, Sandy, and Colleen. Smokey was preceded in death by his wife Evelyn, and his son-in-law, Rodney Dangerfield. Graveside services were held Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at the Ben Lomond Cemetery where Military Honors were accorded. E ondolences to the family at <lom@lindquistmortuary. com> Mary Anne Chiodo VandeMyle Mary Anne Chiodo VandeMyle, our loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, age 68, passed away October 24, 2006 after a long battle with cancer. Mary Anne was born October2, 1938 in Moines, Iowa, a daughter of Vincent and Ethel Pettit Chiodo. At the age of five her family moved to Tremonton, Utah where she resided until 1963. She attended McKinley Elementary and graduated from Bear River Chance; Kylei She attended Utah Mary Anne VandeMyle State and Weber State University, graduating in 1967 with a BS Degree in Elementary Education. She had been employed with Ogden City Schools for 32 years and retired in 1998 from Bonneville Elementary where she had taught for the last 18 years. Following retirement from teaching, she worked for Wasatch International Adoption. Along with serving on many committees for Ogden City Schools, she received Teacher of the Year in 1993-1994, Outstanding Achievement in Education by the Standard Examiner in 1995, and was selected several times by former students for the Who’s Who Among American Teachers. She had a great love for children, including, not only her own children, grandchildren and greatgrandchildren, but also those she taught. This was demonstrated by the many visits, letters and phone These communications always touched her heart. Her hobbies were traveling, scrap booking, playing cards, gardening, and participating in the Red Hat Society functions. Send condolences to family at <www.leavittsmortuary.com> Sally Vera Bayles On October 29, 2006, after a two year battle with cancer, our dear Sally was born Sally Vera Reese on February2, 1939 in Cleveland, Ohio Sally Bayles to Morris and Margaret Reese. She was the fourth of five children. When she was a young adult, she moved to the San Francisco Bay Area where she spent most of her adult life. In 1995, she moved to Red Bluff with her husband Bill. She had four children and fourteen grandchildren who all loved her dearly. Sally took every opportunity to spend time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed and loved being Grandma to all her grandchildren and looked forward to every experience with them and they knew she loved them.
