Show wwe omer’ TE OGDEN VALLEY NEWS November It’s a Party . A Beach Party at Your Library Summer is here again . . . at least for one night at the Ogden Valley Branch Library. On December 4 at 7:00 p.m., the staff of the Ogden Valley Branch Library will be chasing away all the impending winter blues with a night full of warm, sunny, summer fun with their Family Fun Night Beach Part All Valley residents are invited to unpack their Hawaiian shirts, Bermuda shorts, and don their coolest pair of shades for this event, which promises to be full of good old fashioned summer fun. Everyone, and their dog, was there at the second annual “Dog Socialization Party” held by Joy and Joe Clem of Huntsville. The Clems moved to the Valley in 2001, and built a beautiful home, which includes an agility training course for their two Burmese mountain dogs. The Clems are both from Maryland, and moved to Utah for the skiing—of course. Joy is our local den- time stories, and be followed by games and crafts truly fit for the beach. Afterward, everyone will be invited to enjoy some great summertime refreshments. ly Fun Night also provides an opportunity to" eat more about literacy and the library. Parents can also learn how to raise a family of readers with the great literacy information and reading lists available at the library. All programs are free and open to the public. Now the Clems really take this dog business seriously, and have trained their dogs to run through an agility course, which is a blast to watch. What’s really entertaining is to watch the trainer (Joe in this case) run with the dog, coaxing him through the course. When they get done, both dog and human have smiles on their faces, and are panting slightly, to say the least. “Horse Drawn” Horses are drawn, people are drawn, chickens are drawn, and many other images are drawn and painted in Steve Johnson’s art studio in Huntsville. There is now a way to view these enjoy Johnson’s new images, as well as those in the process of being created.
