The mall will feature buyable spaces for vendors to sell wellness products. Wellness is the fastest growing industry in the world The Wellness Fair will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday; and from noon to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday. When the snow season comes, the gates to North Fork Park will be closed; no motorized vehicles will be allowed in this area during the winter months. Weber County Sheriffs Deputies and U.S. Forest Service Officers will be patrolling the area for violators riding snowmobiles, ATVs, or other motorized vehicles. The Park and Ben Lomond Trail will only be available for cross country skiing, snowshoeing, and hikin Those hating for areas to ride motorized recreation vehicles this winter can obtain an Ogden Ranger District Travel Plan from the U.S. Forest Service or from the Union Station Visitor’s Center in Ogden. Families can have a unique recreational outing by cutting their own Christmas tree. Following is Christmas tree information for the Wasatch-Cache National Forest. Wasatch-Cache National Forest: (801) 524-3900 or (801) 466-6411 Evanston Ranger District: (307) 789-3194 Permits go on sale Friday, November 18, Permits are $10.00, one permit per household, one tree only. Permits can be purchased at the Evanston Ranger District Office, 1565 S. Highway 150, Suite A, Evanston, Wyoming from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. They are also available at the Bear River Lodge on Highway 150 aperaxiaeately 30 miles south of Evanston, m 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. seven days a week, and at Sportsworld located inside of Jubilee Foods on Front Street in Evanston from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday; and 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sundays. Any species of tree may be cut, but lodgepole pine is the main species in the area. Wellnow, an Ogden area retail health center, will sponsor a Wellness Fair December 2, 3 and 4 at the Golden Spike Coliseum. The “Happy, Healthy, Wealthy and Wise” Wellness Fair will feature 100 booths showcasing the latest products, goods, and services in the health industry today. Any species of tree may be cut, but lodgepole pine is the main species in the area. Roads around the loop that goes by Henry’s Fork have been plowed. Snow conditions may require permit holders to use snowmobiles, cross-country skies, or snowshoes to access the cutting area. Trees must always be cut close to the ground leaving the stump no higher than 6 inches. A shovel will come in handy to dig through the snow to reach the base of the tree. Make sure your permit is attached to the tree before leaving the cutting area. TREE TOPPING IS NOT ALLOWED. DO NOT CUT THE TOP OF TREES, OR CUT DOWN A LARGE TREE JUST TO TAKE THE TOP. Always make sure before you leave the cutting area that the permit is attached securely to the tree. All campgrounds, picnic areas, plantations, and administrative sites are closed to cutting. Trees must also be cut at least 300 feet away from any road. Remember to always be prepared for winter weather. Be prepared for slick, snow packed roads and have chains, a 4-wheel drive vehicle or a snow machine available. Always let someone know where you are planning to go to cut your tree, bring additional warm clothing, good warm gloves, boots, a container of hot liquid, water, lunch or snack as it may take longer than expected. Carry a flashlight, chains, shovel, first aid kit, matches, a hatchet, ax or handsaw, and rope to tie your tree down. Enjoy your public lands and have a happy holiday.
