Answer! the new limousine purchased by owners Ron and Mignon Baird of Mountain Green. Purchased from Barber Bros, in Morgan as a duly, four wheel drive one ton with a 360 engine, the Ford 350 was in turn driven to a company in California, who stretched the truck into a long lean machine of beauty measuring 39 1112 inches, just 18 inch shy of the legal limit The top of the limo features soft elk hide, with a turbo, super chip exhaust system and lots of gauges inside for the driver along with an independent music system. We ordered the truck through Barber Bros., because of their fantastic service department, which is the best in the Wasatch Front" said Ron. "Their personnel was helpful as well. Barber Bros, store owneroperator, John Barber, called the experience a "wild trip" from the day the truck was ordered with special features inside to the day it was delivered to the store, the trip to California and now, it is back with us once again-i- f only for a few days to show people what a beauty it is. (The vehicle was offered for viewing for a few days in Morgan.) Showing his skill by turning the vehicle around "On a dime" Stephenson said "this truck will tow a six place horse trailer with ease." "We plan to make SERVICE our key watch word" said Mignon. who along with her husband own the Turf Club in Ogden, located where Mulboons formerly was operated. Their future plans include transporting young patients from hospitals, especially Primary Childrens, to view the lights at Christmas time, offer free or discount rates for special occasions, and make sure those who rent the vehicle "are treated royally during their time spent inside." The "bar" can be stocked with soft drinks for the younger set who are monitored by the driver at all times with a window between the from and back kept open. For those 18-2- 1 the window can be placed at the half-wa- y point and closed for the adults who can give instructions to the driver via an intercom system. On Tuesday, male and female students alike did not have to worry about fixing their hair or getting dressed because it was Pajama Day. With this relaxed environment teachers were concerned that students might fall asleep more rapidly than normal, but classes were held as usual. StuJents were excited for the class competition skits, which were he!d in the auditorium. The freshmen had an excellent showing with their rendition of N'SYNC's "It's Gonna Be Me." The. sophomores shocked the audience with their skit of famous rap artists including Slim Shady and Sysco. Christina Aguilara also put in an appearance. The juniors had a dance scene from the popular movie Superstar. The senior skit was a spoof on the n, which featured the seniors singing the chorus from Friends. Wednesday's dress up was crazy hair and hat day. Wednesday was field day. a favorite among South Summit students. Each class chose their most athletic classmen to compete in the events. The events included an eating contest, a chugging contest, an obstacle course, a dunking booth, a tug of war, and the pudding wrestling. The eating contest, chugging contest and obstacle course proved to be to much for some students as many reported feeling sick after the days events. The dunking contest featured many would-b- e pitchers who tried to dunk the faculty in a huge tub of cold water. The highlight of Field Day was the pudding wrestling where contestants wrestle in a tub of vanilla pudding. Seniors Jessica Easton, Stephanie England. Brody Lewis, and Tyler Johnson did a good job of showing the younger students that seniors really do rule. Field Day left the student body in good spirits for the pep rally that night The pep rally was kicked off by the cheerleaders lower-classme- ever-popul- ar who led the student body in cheers and games. Following tradition, there was a bonfire after the pep rally where the student body chanted and sang the South Summit school song before burning both a female and male "Grantsviile Cowboy." On Thursday', the student body and faculty were in for a real treat when they sat down to watch the finalist assembly for Homecoming 'royalty. The finalists were separated into two groups and each of them preformed skits. The fust group, which was made up of. Robbie. Brody. Parley, Matt, Aimee. Kaisi, Tasia. and Chelsea, made a movie featuring the Kings dressed up as Queens walking down Main Street in Park City. Can you imagine the look those boys were getting? The other group consisting of Travis. Tyler. Eric, Gary, Natalie, Jleidi. Haiey. and Brooke did a comedy spoof on Saturday Night Live. Heidi and Travis did an excellent job as two wacky cheerleaders that kept the audience roaring with laughter. After the skits the student body voted for the Homecoming King and Queen. The second attendants were Parley Preece and Brooke Wilde. The attendants up were Robbie Smoot and Kaisi Edwards. And the South Summit Homecoming King was Brody Lewis and the Queen was Aimee Edmunds. Thursday night the Ladycat volleyball team added to school pride when they smashed the Grantsviile Cowboys in two quick games. Many students continued to wear their "oldies" clothes from dress up to the game, which may have confused many parents. Friday was the day everyone was waiting for. the day of the big game. Students were decked out in green and white to win points and to show their school spirit. The main event of the school day was the Homecoming Parade where the classes could show off the float that they had been working so hard on all week. The freshmen and seniors were competing fiercely for points, and each needed to win this event to stay on top. Hie freshmen won the contest with their theme based on the Survivor show. Homecoming week was coming to a close and next up was the big football game on Friday night. The student body and loyal Wildcat fans were out in force as they watched the football team bring home another win against the Grantsviile Cowboys. Congratulations to the team on a tremendous victory. The final event was die dance. The class competition was still a close race between the freshmen and seniors. The classes were awarded points for the each member who attended. This made for one of the biggest dances of the year. The seniors had the best attendance and earned valuable points. In the end, the freshmen were able to pull away by a mere 7 points and defeat the seniors. This bought to an end a very successful Homecoming week. Everyone was happy but exhausted from the week long "Walk on the Wild Side!" . ( Editor's note - Thank, you to owners Ron and Mignon for. the fun ride in their awesome vehicle, and their courteousness. It was fun to view the tigger movie along with their cute little daughter.)
