Probably the main reason fur its faithful, consistent performance is the fact that I had a new engine installed several years ago. Then, when half of its four wheels quit digging. I replaced the front wheel drive portion of it with a newly rebuilt transfer case. It's also had the usual replacement of front wheel hubs, two or e three muffler assemblies, brake linings, several spark plug changes, tires, filters, along with many other miscellaneous parts too Aail-pip- numerous to list. All of which proved to be necessary items. But the, by far, most important of all of them was the engine, without which none of the other things would be able to function at all. The engine, being the of energy supplying all the other contributing factors, provides the drive, the cncrtia - the life, if you will for all the other separate parts that, working together, allow the vehicle to perform its intended rout-sour- role. Something that happens several times every minute to somebody else. And, of course, it was never going to happen to me. But it did. Like my truck engine, it started sputtering, made a few gallant attempts to unplug the September 29, 2000 pizza, steak, prime rib, extra butter ice cream by the bucket, pop-cor- chips, french-frie- fast-foo- s, d orgies. It's got to be a serious management of diet habits in order for me to avoid reserving another suite at the U. of U. Hospital But, if I should stumble again, though, that's where I want to be. So I decided to have one just to see what it was like. Go figure. You don't want to go there. "Dirty fuel caused my engine to plug (that's what the doctors' said). So, in a cautionary way, I should remind you that diet plays a very important role in maintaining a healthy heart (engine) in the old bod. Choose - with more care than you normally do - what you eat. The owner of a vehicle called to report it missing, but did not know of which three possible sites it was of beauty nature, so WHY should I stop right? now Well nature certainly took a different route this past week-en- d as it left residents wondering what happened. Was anyone really ready fur the snow we received? Probably a few, but the ones I have talked with certainly weren't. Ok, so there arc the television news reports that "warn" of upcoming temperatures and weather, but. really, they DO miss sometimes, right? So, while attending the BravesBulldogs football game on Friday and it began raining, well, that was expected weather for the season. All that wu needed wu warm clothing and the 'ol umbrella. Driving around the region snapping photos, I wu first dumfounded by the lack of people outside. I mean, here wu a major problem and where was everyone? Later, as things warmed up there were more and more of the community helping one another. A nice touch in a messy u u SL Summit world. Meanwhile, after the photo shots were taken, myself along with my sisters Sharon and DiAnn and brother Billy, journeyed to Mom and Dads to help out there. What did we find?
